As above, well done for having free wifi and it's all over the hotel not just reception/bar. Makes a refreshing change. Oh and the hotel is good with a decent place to eat next door which deliver to your room, and the food was good, slightly pricey but when the food is decent it justifies paying slightly more I think. £9 for a really tasty burger with a choice of 2 sides not that bad eh?
Recommend this hotel as it's friendly and with like the chains there are normally no nasty surprises, good shower. Only niggle is I prefer the TV in front of the bed not in a corner so that I can watch it when I lay on either side. Wife suffers from sciatica and needed to face the other way, but it's was only bloody Emmerdale so I had to have a cheeky grin.
Beds could be higher and softer.....look at me hotel inspector :)

Room Tip: Free wifi throughout

Stayed here for one night sharing a twin room, with my brother, as we were attending a concert at the O2 arena.

Drove down from Glasgow and found our destination just a short drive from the motorway. Plenty of parking on arrival. Check-in was swift.

Rooms where what we expected - clean and comfortable. Walk in shower was really good.

Breakfast could not be faulted with a choice of cereals, jucies, tea, coffee as well as a cooked selection of sausage, egg and beans. More than enough to set you up for the day.

Would certainly stay here again.

Please note that if you wish to leave the car to venture further then a taxi will be required. Not an issue as they are easily booked by reception and cost around £5 to get into the city centre.

stayed one night here as my daughter had an interview at the university with an early start. great value for money. Very clean, good bathroom, although no tub just a shower . beds a bit soft but ok for a short stay. Breakfast buffet was basic but as it was free couldnt complain.staff verr helpful and allowed us to leave our car in carpark for rest of day even after we had checked out. We ate in the Spurs restaurant next door and had a great meal. food reasonably priced but drinks quite expensive though.

I have been staying at this hotel at least once every two months for meetings in leicester. It's an ideal location 10 mins from the M1/M69 junction. The hotel is always very clean, the wifi is good at this express, and you are a 10 minute walk to either the Narborough Road for bars and food, or town centre. I use the Spicy Haandi round the corner from the hotel, always a good curry! The hotel reception know where it is.

I stayed for one night when working at Welford Stadium. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean. Just a shower in mine but that suited me. Breakfast was perfectly adequate (except the orange juice appeared to be watered down). Convenient for the football ground and only 10 minutes from the rugby ground with a convenient restaurant next door where I ate a delicious evening meal.
Can't fault the hotel for the price and would definitely recommend it - if that's the location in Leicester where you need to be as its a bit far from the city centre.

I stayed here for 1 night on 5/1/14 whilst visiting friends in Leicester. It is ideally situated close to the city centre, but is far enough away to be peaceful. It would be fantastic for anybody coming to watch either the Leicester Foxes or the Tigers. It's on site for the football ground & just over the road from Welford Rd rugby ground.
I was on the 4th floor, right at the back of the hotel with a nice view onto the weir & canal behind the hotel. My only criticism is that the mattress was a little soft for my taste.
The room was spotless & so were the towels.
Breakfast was really good & was included in the price. There was a good choice of things to eat & drink...Sausages, scrambled eggs, croissants, cheese, cold meats, coffee machines etc etc. I would happily recommend this hotel to everyone.
The reception staff were both lovely & extremely helpful. Well done HI Express Leicester!

Room Tip: I was on 4th floor at the back & it was lovely & quiet.

My son and I enjoyed a one night stay when we travelled to watch Leicester Tigers. Staff were very friendly, room clean and hotel ideally located for both football and rugby matches. The only downside was the breakfast which was a bit basic, but for what we paid for the room I can't really complain. In the evening we went a short walk to the Odeon cinema where there were a couple of restaurants like Nandos.
