My wife and I had the 8 course taster menu with wine pairings.

The food was presented well and was tasty, although the seasoning was a little light for my taste eg the wasabi was barely existent. If its listed as an ingredient I would like to taste it on the plate .

I would not recomend the wine pairings, just buy a bottle of Red and White to your taste and save a few bob.

Service was very good , the ambience of the restaurant is superior to its competitor at Maiyangos. The price is of course, high at £160 for two, but it was worth doing as a treat. I wouldn't repeat the taster menu again, the regular menu dishes looked amazing.

We went for the set 3 course lunch, the food was wonderful full of flavour and beautifully cooked and presented. the service was excellent with out being overbearing. The room is tastefully decorated and welcoming.
The only lack was other customers to give more atmosphere, people of Leicester you don't know what you are missing!
We are returning to try the evening menu next week.

This restaurant has ideas above it's station, the prices were high for the quality of the food. I went with a party of 12 from work, we had pre ordered our food and as a result it appeared that most of it had been prepared well in advance.
The staff did not appear to be too happy to have a large party in the resaurant ad as a result the service and the whole experience was very poor.

The whole experience was fabulous. We had the 8 course taster menu with wine. The dishes were all very well presented and cooked with a high degree of skill. The icing on the cake was the hospitality of the service staff, which was very welcoming and attentive. We will be going back frequently on the basis of our recent visit.

We enjoyed our first visit to The White Peacock a few weeks ago, we accompanied friends for a meal on a saturday lunchtime. When you arrive and walk through the doorway there is a nice bar area to the right hand side and the restaurant area is off to the left. We were early so we decided to go into the bar for a drink, there is a nice cocktail list as well as mocktails, wines and some decent ales if that's your thing. We felt quite comfortable in the surroundings, there is a really nice, relaxed vibe in the bar area and it is quite tastefully decorated. We were shown through to the restaurant and proceeded to have the 3 course lunch menu which was about £19 a head, the restaurant was about half full on a saturday lunchtime, there was still a nice atmosphere despite not being totally full. Starter of scallops was nice enough but I thought a bit flat and lacked a little seasoning. The lamb main course was lovely with great cous cous and tasted really nice with the walnuts, some whole and some crushed up into an apricot sauce. Chocolate fondant with ice cream was good and a fitting way to end the meal on a high. Throughout the meal the staff were very good too, we had a little chat with a couple of them, they seemed really friendly and they all did their job well. Overall I like the place and I would go back at some time in the future.
