I stayed here a few months ago and had a pleasant experience, however this stay was even better. All the staff were happy and polite and interested in their jobs. The hotel is the same, clean and well looked after. Well done to the housekeeping staff for maintaining a standard expected by guests. Breakfast at PI is usually its downfall when I review, but once again the very polite and very happy Michaela made breakfast a great start to the day. I mentioned her in my last review and she definitely deserves another mention. PI please note you do have some great staff in some of your hotels, these are the staff that need to be training others in happiness and proper customer service. I had gurgling drains during my last stay, but this time silence. Not sure if it was just bad luck in room last time.
The hotel is signposted well on the A6 as you approach Oadby, just head to Great Glen and its near the college/school. It is situated a couple of miles from anywhere with shops, but it does mean its a quiet place to stay. This really is one of the better PI's to stay in and I'm already looking forward to staying again.

Arrived evening 22nd April. Both ladies on reception (evening and morning) were excellent; welcoming, efficient, helpful and above all, genuine. The same is true for the lady who supervised the breakfast room. The hotel itself was very good - clean, well-maintained and comfortable but the quality of the staff made the stay outstanding. I hope the company appreciate the value these ladies add.

We arrived at this hotel on Saturday 20 April 2013 at 1.30 (although we were told you could only get in your room after 2pm) to find it all ready and waiting. It was very clean, spacious, bedlinen crisp and looked extremely inviting. The check in procedure was painless and it was very easy to find our room with the directions given by the receptionist. She told us if we did not have a good nights' sleep, we would be entitled to a refund. I would imagine this could quite easily be abused by some people but we were woken up at 7.30 am by people in the corridor having a row and swearing at their children but it would not cause us to complain at that time of the morning.

There is absolutely no noise from the main road a couple of hundred yards from the hotel. All in all an extremely pleasant stay at this hotel and would definitely use it again if I were to be invited to another function in that area.

Room Tip: We stopped on the second floor in Room 24 - so only had on neighbour. Very quiet and a very warm ro...

Excellent value for money. Close to the University we were visiting. The staff on arrival and when checking out were exceptionally welcoming and had excellent local knowledge. Booked a taxi for us. Very safe, and clean, Excellent parking availability.

This must be the 5th or 6th Premier Inn we have stayed in, and as usual it was a good experience. Staff helpful and room clean and comfy. Tiny, tiny niggle would be the noise of doors opening and closed outside our room - maybe this is an older less sound proofed building. We liked the slightly out of town location, the next door pub had OK food.

Tho' advertised, food was not available at next door eatery at 20.40 - room was cold (heating level, apparently set by engineers @ 20C when outside temp was -2C ......... Not what one expects to find having decided to stay at a well-known hotel group convenient for hospital where one's husband has just undergone major surgery and one is a touch stressed-out. Enough said - breakfast might have been good - but did not bother to find out - went to known cafe near hospital!

The hotel bears every sign of being milked for profits for the owners - a shower dribbling water (yes with the ambient heating scarcely reaching a chilly 19C) - tired decor and under investment - and they ask about "value for money". Presumably the business fraternity help to drive the price up as the accountants look to keep expenses down - but wi-fi an extra (after a miserly free 30 minutes - that's not an attractive point.

Anyway - not at all what one might reasonably expect in the depths of winter (well mid-March 2013).

On the positive side - to fulfil their promise - THEY HAVE REFUNDED ALL CHARGES FOR THE NIGHT! THANK YOU - but it would have been far simpler (and more profitable to get it right in the first place and have a thoroughly satisfied customer!

We went to see our son and family in Oadby (Leicestershire) ,and we now always stay at a Premier Inn ,after staying in some rubbish hotels ,Premier Inn Oadby is Pleasant ,and the rooms are what we know and like ,l think rooms 15 and 16 may have problems ,next to the reception and at the top of the stairs ,the breakfast is good ,note we did have breakfast at 0830 ,and the breakfast room looked that it had been busy, but we had no problems ,and we will be staying here again

Room Tip: What l noted, avoid rooms 15 and 16 ,seem to be in the main route for all costumers ,and will be noi...
