We were in Lincoln as we were visited friends, and decided to opt for the Holiday Inn Express due to it's central location and good price.
As we only wanted somewhere basic to lay our heads we opted for this place, I had never stayed in a Holiday Inn Express before and I wasn't disappointed.
We parked at the hotel which is only £5 for guests which we felt was very fair considering Lincoln is quite expensive for parking. The hotel seems to be quite new and it appears that some actual effort has been put into designing the lobby which it modern and bright.
The staff were friendly and swiftly checked us in, we requested a room on the highest floor possible for the view.
Our room was very nice, a double bed with a sofa. It was well kept and not as run down as i'd expected. The bathroom is a very small pod like room, but it does the job.
The breakfast was quite basic but there was a variety available but it does feel quite canteen-like.
If we were to choose a hotel in Lincoln again and only wanted somewhere basic we would definitely choose the Holiday Inn express.
The location is brilliant only a short walk for Brayford pool (bars, restaurants and cinema ect) and about a 10 minute walk from the centre of the town.
