This great hotel is let down by the price of the car park. Last year we got a reduction for being priority club members, this year we had to pay full price!!!!! It is not exactly city centre, so why any charge at all? Breakfast would be improved if there was bacon instead of (or as well as) sausage. The sausage is not up to holiday inn standards and cheap bacon tastes better than cheap sausage!!! Despite the criticisms, still a pleasant, clean hotel

Thank you for your review of the hotel, I’m sorry you feel let down at the parking charge unfortunately with parking in the city at a premium, making a charge that is discounted for our resident’s means we are able to offer our guest a convenient location to park when staying with us. As with all the other hotels in the city also charging for parking and many without the luxury of a car park on site.
We did offer a local benefit of discounted parking for our Priority Club members recently the group has realised there were many hotels doing their “own thing” and our members did not know what if any “extra” benefits they would receive at each hotel, this has now been standardised across all our hotels with our gold members being offered the choice of a complimentary drink or bonus points and our platinum level member’s a drink and snack or bonus points.

We wanted an overnight stay in Lincoln and based upon other reviews chose this hotel. The hotel was clean, the room spacious and comfortable and, facing over the car park, was quite quiet. The staff were very helpful, providing us with a map and tips on what to see and the location is good for Brayford Pool and the city centre. Breakfast was very good compared to some other hotel chains. Would stay here again if we return to Lincoln.

Having booked a family room, I was pleasantly surprised at the standards in this hotel. The room was spacious enough for all four of us and the air con was fantastic as we arrived on the hottest day of the summer! Great location and staff were very helpful. Room was clean, and everything worked! Shower room configuration worked very well - you could partition the shower/toilet areas - ideal when you have a family!
Breakfast was okay - better than I has expected and did set us up for the day!
Overall, a great place to stay to explore Lincoln.

Stayed here during my graduation ceremony from Lincoln university. Accommodation was very clean and the maids did an excellent job everyday, so a pat on the back for them from me. The only downer was the breakfast, for it only was available till 9:30, when it should be available to at least midday and the offerings was basic. Just cereal, toast and you can't really have a full English with just baked beans, sausage and scrambled egg. Other than that, everything was excellent, I was on the top floor and it was very quiet, lots of complimentary entertainment on the TV and a great view of the city. Across the road is a 24 hour McDonalds, so can never go hungry, supermarket a 5 minute walk away too. I would gladly stay here again if I ever find myself coming back to Lincoln, but the breakfast is nothing to shout about.
We put a request on the booking and it was followed, so bonus points for that, I wasn't expecting it to be fufilled. I would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the breakfast

The hotel was in a great location for the price - easy walking distance into the city, Brayford restaurants and walking along the river. We wanted a very "budget" weekend and so had booked a "triple" room for the 3 of us - double bed and a sofa bed. We paid £50 extra per night for this so were a bit surprised to see that the room was much too small. There was no floor space at all with the sofa bed out and no space between the beds. I am pretty sure that the receptionist said she had given us one of the bigger rooms. I don't think so! There were much bigger rooms on the website which should have been used for 3 people. The breakfast was ok - just ok. Good to have free newspapers. Nice, bright dining room but too enclosed and the layout and system in there needs sorting to cope with the busier times. Helpful reception staff.

Room Tip: Our view was into Homebase and its car park - some might have views of the cathedral and city centre...

Thank you for your review, I'm sorry you didn’t enjoy the room experience we do price our rooms for two people, and realise that the floor space is limited for three adults unfortunately our system must allow up to 4 people in a room for bookings of 2 adults and 2 children and the extra person charge is designed to dissuade three adults booking a room with almost all websites describing the sofa bed rooms as maximum occupancy of two adults and two children.

This is a very good hotel - for the price you pay. Rooms are pretty spacious (for the UK), and very clean and new. Hotel is within walking distance of a night out in Lincoln, and there is plenty of free breakfast included.
