“Great stop off”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

Eight of us stayed for 2 nights . The breakfasts are very good, as much as you want (self service).
The rooms were very good. Shower room very clean and well thought out .
Parking costs £5 per night, worth it as parking in Lincoln is very busy.
Situated about 10mins walk into the centre for restaurants and shops.
Would return there if coming back to Lincoln for a short break.

Room Tip: We had rooms overlooking the car park which was quieter than the front.

From the welcome to the ongoing service to the cleanliness everything was perfect!

A two night stay for five people at around around £20 quid a head (yes ten pounds a night) this was bloody fantastic. Make other "premier" and "lodge" budget hotels look dull and uninteresting. Oh and breakfast included in the price!

The staff really made the stay, welcoming, willing to help, flexible, smart.

I had a room next to the main road and despite this could hardly hear traffic. Budget with a hint of luxury and care.

Bacon with the breakfast would top the stay, but that's a tiny criticism for a wonderful stay.

Thank you to everyone who was working here over the weekend.i will be back!

Booked here not knowing what to expect as not been to an HI express before. The reception area was very light and modern and all the staff very helpful and seemed to be efficient and friendly. The room we had was also modern, the bathroom and shower also a very decent size. The bed was in my opinion, too firm and even though there was 2 of us in the room there was only 2 tea bags and 2 sugars available on the beverage tray. Top floor, was fairly quiet. Breakfasts are buffet but there is all you would want and regularly topped up. No reason to go hungry here.

Although there were no rooms available and I didn't stay the help I received was excellent. I had booked to stay at another hotel which was closed up when I arrived. I went to the Holiday Inn Express to see if they had any vacancies which unfortunately they did not but the chap on reception called Tom was extremely helpful and kind and phoned around other hotels until he found me a room which at 11 pm I was getting quite concerned. Thank you!

Stayed from the 25th Oct to 28th Oct 2013, part of a 30 + group, booked in around 1630 on Friday, reception was quick efficient and friendly.
The allocated room on the first floor was a fine, but typical for a modern hotel group, showing classic corporate styling.
Slept well all nights but woke up on first night with noise in room, traced to air con unit, easy to switch off, problem solved.
Breakfast is buffet style where you select all that you want to eat, hot food is limited to toast, scrambled eggs, the usual links sausage, and of course beans, various cold options raving from cheese to a selection of yoghurt.

Only problem was the £5 per night car parking fee, some members of the group thought that it was not explained on booking.

Enjoyed my stay here.

Will I return Yes, can I recommend this hotel Yes.

Room Tip: Rooms at rear(overlooking car park) are quieter

My partner and I stayed in the hotel for two nights. The room was absolutely lovely and clean, the shower was divine and the breakfast was good too. The only issue we had was with the staff. They were helpful but i didn't see a single smile all weekend! I feel like they could have just made a little effort to seem a little more motivation or more welcoming.
