Been meaning to visit for a while. Made it our first stop in Lincoln. The whole exhibition is beautifully put together. Loved the fact that they had recordings of some of those who experienced Bomber command first hand. The stories range from what they got up to on a daily basis to the anxious wait for those on the ground for the aircraft to return to surviving a crash. Personal touches and stories really add to the experience.
Outside the memorial spire is very impressive, surrounded by the names of those who did not make it home. A guide is available if you want to join a tour or you can just wander at your leisure
Its very peaceful, just skylarks singing, with amazing views to the Cathedral and Castle.
A pleasant cafe serving main meals, cake, tea and coffee etc.
Well worth a visit.

Myself and husband recently visited the centre. We would like to thank Barry for being our guide. He was so knowledgeable and provided us with an amazing tour of Bomber command. It is a fascinating place with lots of history.

Dear wasckychick20

Thank you for writing a review of the IBCC and for your comments.

Perhaps, sadly, the weather did not allow you to walk around the 9 acres of landscaped Peace Gardens, taking in the Memorial Spire and Walls of Names.

I hope you will visit us again when the weather is kinder.

Best wishes

Set in a beautiful, peaceful location overlooking Lincoln city and cathedral this is a very moving tribute to a group of our often-overlooked heroes.
