Whisby is free to use but £2 all day parking charge, the lakes and ponds are alive with wildlife and the very good paths are easy to negotiate.
You can walk a few hundred yards or several miles, almost which is beautiful.
The tea room was lovely, nice coffee , tea etc, largest scones and other hot or cold food is available.
I wish we lived nearer.

Took my 3 year old granddaughter & we both loved it.
The goods:
Cafe: both indoor & outdoor seating overlooking the lake. Vegetarian & vegan options & it’s all very reasonably priced.
The staff were all really helpful & friendly
Great indoor play area for little ones (see photo)
Outdoor play areas, which includes a water & a sand area
Outdoor seating
A variety of walks of different lengths, well signposted, with a map provided at reception. We took the yellow route; 1.2 miles, it is also the where your dog can be off a lead
Parking is £2 this time of year & £1 in winter, what a bargain
The not so goods:
Only that it is quite a distance from home.
We loved it and will return. We spent over 2 hours here & could have stayed longer. Highly recommended

Called in today hoping we would get a meal before hot food finished serving and boy we were in luck. Its always a busy place and food is excellent with several veggie and vegan options too. Today was no different and we chose the vegetable and bean jambalaya served with side salad.... simply delicious.. two soya lattes later and a slice of raspberry slice crumble saw us full and highly satisfied. Staff are always attentive, food is always plentiful and tasty and service excellent. Considering they are a 'cafe in a park' their food and selection is far superior to other local so called restaurant's and bistro's.. keep up the great work ..
