Lincoln has a wonderful cathedral but just up the road is a museum of Lincoln life. It will resonate with people through its room layouts, traditional shops and engines telling the story of everyday life. The war years exhibition was a poignant and connected well with local people and from my own area.

What a brilliant museum! With so many great exhibits and it's free!! Me and my daughter loved every minute of our visit and the gift shop had so much to offer and had a large variety of items and some amazing local items and produce. Will definitely come again and my daughter is looking forward to visiting again this year during the school holidays.

Great Museum, lots to see & its all free! well worth a visit with some good displays, Victorian rooms & shops, farming, industry WW1 exhibition, small café with inside & outside seating. A good place to visit regardless of the weather

We have visited today for the first time, as it had been recommended to me by several friends recently. There is free parking in front & by the side of the museum. Free admission for all and a choice of an audio/visual guide costing at £1 each, particulary great for the kids. The staff were very helpful & friendly & provide you with a free plan of the museum. There are plenty of exhibits of military heritage and Victorian life to view. Toilets and a tearoom (which was very reasonably priced) are on site too, and the shop was worth a walk round also. The little playground in the middle was well used by the younger visitors. We will certainly visit again in the future and recommend the museum to others.

Lovely visit through yesteryear! It lasted about an hour or so. Free event with a play in the park to end it off! Worth a visit. The only downside are the narrow corridors that make it difficult to pass with a pram or wheelchair.
