Owner description: Bransby Horses is one of the UK’s largest equine welfare charities in the UK, completely funded by the generosity of public donations. We are dedicated to improving the lives of horses, ponies, donkeys and mules since we were established in 1968. We have rescued, rehabilitated, re-homed or retired thousands of equines and we are working harder than ever to continue making a positive difference to equines wherever and whenever we can. Between our two sites in Lincolnshire and Herefordshire we have over 400 animals currently in our care, which keeps us constantly busy. Bransby Horses Visitor Centre near Lincoln is open to the public. A great day out for all the family with plenty to see and do.

“Great place to visiti.”
Reviewed 1 April 2014

Dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating horses, ponies, donkeys and mules who have suffered cruelty and neglect this place is just perfect, beautifully set out and the horses etc look well cared for and happy. Most of the animals are friendly and come to the fences to be stroked, it is easy to walk round with pathways marked out to follow and you are are given a free map to follow on arrival. There is a lovely gift shop, visitors centre and cafe. We really enjoyed it, it is perfect for a half day visit.

Had a very pleasant lunch in attractive surroundings. Walked round the paddocks and met various horses ponies, donkeys, and a mule all in excellent condition.
Bought some bargain horsey stuff in the tack shop.
All the staff were friendly and willingly answered our questions

“afternoon at Bransby”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

My daughter and I took her two small children to Bransby Horses for the afternoon, one aged 4 , one 9 months. We hadn't been for many years despite living nearby, but our children loved it when they were little. It has changed so much. It has a lovely new visitor centre, with beautiful clean cafe. Staff are friendly and talked to us. There is a small play area which the 4 year old loved. We walked around and saw some of the horses and mules. It was a very cold day. Staff made us welcome and encouraged the little boy to pat the Shetland ponies which she was taking to their evening quarters. If it had been warmer and we had had more time, we could have walked along many walkways seeing the various horses. There is information about each one, and general info in the visitor centre. We had a lovely hot chocolate in the cafe. i would recommend this to everyone, even if next time my husband and I just drop in for a coffee
