After struggling to find somewhere to stay in Lincoln for the Xmas market we eventually discovered Queen In The West. Never stopped here before so was not totally sure what to expect especially with it being situated in a residential area. It was a reasonable price of £48 for a one night stay. On arrival you see a very quaint looking building and we were issued with a permit to park outside. This was our main concern but parking was no problem. We were shown our room and things were explained. The room was upstairs and yeah the stairs are narrow but its an old building and it seemed part of its charm. The room had the facilities you would expect. It was a cold day and the room was surprisingly warm and a heater was supplied. Bathroom was really clean. Good working TV. All we needed. At night we had a drink in the quiet side of the pub and was happy with the drinks etc. No problem. We slept really well. Sometimes a little noise could be heard from the bar below but its a pub and it wasn't as noisy as I thought it might be. The breakfast was excellent and to finish off I would book here again. Its a reasonable 10 to 15 mins from the cathedral. Ideal for the Xmas market.
