“Very very steep hill.”

Very aptly named, as this street is incredibly steep. It’s even difficult walking back down! Definitely worth the effort though, as the Cathedral and Castle are at the top, and the whole area is really nice and would be a crime to visit Lincoln and miss this area out. Definitely not for anyone with mobility problems.

Brilliant Street, plenty of unusual shops, tea rooms etc. Worth the visit, but get in training for the walk back!

Pleasently surprised at Lincoln, it's a very nice city with lots of open shops and a fabulous Cathedral and Castle. Steep Hill is as the name suggests- Very Steep! There's even some rest stops in the way up. However, it is definitely worth it when you get to the top!

I never thought I would get to the top but I did! This is such a quaint street with loads of little shops on the way up. There are benches at the steepest part half way up for anyone who needs a little breather. I had to stop a fair few times, but it was quite the experience. There is a castle and the cathedral at the top. Both charge an entrance fee so we didn’t go in. Just take your time, look in a few shops on the way up, turn round and look at the way you came while you get your breath back (Nice view of the surrounding landscape from up there) and take care coming back down. I did see a little bus at the top so that might be an option too!

Might feel like a trek to get to the top but well worth every step.
Some lovely independent shops and eateries at the top.
