I have just returned home after a few nights stay at the lovely hotel and just had to write a review. This is the first hotel I have wrote a generally good reveiw about because there is nothing I can complain about. The room was lovely and was catered for all my needs even when I had needed something it was a quick call to reception and it was done straight away without question. This hotel is brilliant the restaurant was amazing foid was outstanding and service was brill . Our first night in the restaurant we was taken care by Natalie she was very good and was also helpful on our questions about the hotel we were then served by other members who was just as great. The team on reception was alwats kind and helpful and made us feel very welcome with a help with our bags and being showed to our rooms which was very helpful. Breakfast was just as good service as restaurant there was a lot of helpful staff one in which called Rachel and a young man who made sure we had everything we needed when our breakfast was brought to us who nicely brought me some hp sauce and more coffee. I had a lovely stay at this fine hotel an will 100% return to this hotel as its not just the nice building or stunning veiws its the staff that makes the hotel so amazing.

My friend and I stayed at the Old Palace last weekend, had a little trouble finding it, we came up the wrong street up the hill and had to double back down the hill, but once I put the post code in the sat nav we found it no problem.

What can i say ? A fabulous hotel, we were in the Lodge, formerly the church of St Michael on the Mount converted into hotel rooms. The room was lovely, clean and great bathroom with fabulous shower. Only disappointment we had no view of the cathedral, only over Lincoln, but you had to stand on a chair to see it. The room was very warm and woke in the middle of the night, but could not turn the heating off.

Breakfast was lovely, home cooked to order local produce, also plenty of cereals and pastries, all very well presented, breakfast staff very pleasant and accommodating, we were offered vegetarian sausages. All staff were very good.

Location was fantastic, right next to the cathedral in the old quarter, also the hotel is amongst the ruins of the Medieval Bishops Palace and 5 minutes to Steep hill and the castle.

We will definitely return as the Magna Carta was not at the castle and the castle was not fully open to the public. highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: the lodge is very quiet,

Full of character and charm. We stayed in one of the least expensive rooms for one night trip to Lincoln. It was well proportioned and very pretty with great views and small but fabulous power shower. The drawing room is lovely and the staff were really helpful and very genuine. The only downside was the bed was too firm for me and felt a bit achey in the morning. Would definitely stay here again though.

We visited Lincoln for the first time ever for a 3 night break at the Old Palace and enjoyed a wonderful stay in amazing surroundings, and with the added benefit of free parking. The Old Palace is located at the top of Steep Hill, literally in the shadow of the magnificent cathedral and combines the character of an elegant old building and a old church as an annex. We stayed in Room 20 of the Lodge and it was clean, comfortable and relaxing with good facilities and peace and quiet despite being in a city. Not the largest of rooms but well equipped with a great double shower.

The breakfast was very good with an extensive selection and the staff were all helpful and efficient throughout the hotel. There is no bar on the premises sadly but drinks can be ordered from reception and the lounge and terrace enjoying stunning views across the city. Would certainly return to enjoy the hotel and city again and if you wanta relaxing stay but close to all the facilties this is well worth considering.

Room Tip: The annex rooms are quieter and just 50 yards from the main building.

What a delightful hotel, nestling in the shadow of the cathedral. The Old Palace was a residence for visiting clergy, and whilst it is only a three star hotel, the place could not have been friendlier. We will certainly stay there again. Check any internet offers, they will match them.

Room Tip: The hotel has a car park. It's difficult to locate, but it's cheaper than on road parking

Have just spent two nights here. We were in the s
St Michael's annex. A beautiful converted church. Room very comfortable and well furnished although a little small. Could benefit from a couple of easy chairs but probably too small. We could only sit on the bed.
The breakfast was first class as were the staff serving it. Nothing was to much trouble for them. The bathroom was fine until our second afternoon when the plug lever broke. We reported it late afternoon. At 10pm i emptied it with a cup so we could use it next morning. Appreciate maintenance may have gone home but disappointed non of the hotel management came to try and help or checked how we were coping.
That said really enjoyed our short stay

I booked this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary and as a last break before our first baby is born. The hotel did not disappoint. We had a lovely welcome from reception who are really helpful. We stayed in the blue room on the first night which is lovely and spacious with super views of the cathedral. On the 2nd night we stayed in the green room which is great too, and is located in the chapel. We ate breakfast and dinner on one night and the food was good. Would definitely return and thank you to the staff for making our stay really relaxing (and for the celebratory bottle of wine in our room!)
