Extremely lucky to call this place our local. Nestled just into the Bailgate, it's a stones throw from the Cathedral and is said to be Lincoln's oldest Inn.
It's bustling with an eclectic crowd of locals, students, Minster sixth formers, Cathedral staff, football fans and families. And they are all accommodated.
Always busy when football is on, yet never rowdy.
Saturday nights were always good fun, and we'd often start and finish our nights out there. Great atmosphere over the festive period, Christmas Market brings a good crowd, and its a lively place to see in Christmas and New Year.
This time of year is great, large beer garden that gets the sun all day long and well into the evening. Always full of families and large groups of friends. If you have a dog (we don't) or a child (we do), then it's perfect for either!
The owners are lovely, and all the bar staff friendly and never fail to strike up a chat.
The grub is also really good. The menu is a basic pub menu that you would come to expect, but with a much more homemade feel to it, with large portions and good quality food used.
All in all, we love The Eve!
