“Free and educational”
Reviewed 21 August 2012

A great free resource in Lincoln city centre, particularly good in winter. Combine with a stroll up and down the nearby Steep Hill and a visit to one of the coffee shops/tea rooms e.g. Cafe Portico

“Not bad for kids”
Reviewed 13 August 2012 via mobile

Has a dedicated kids area which is useful for a bit of down time during shopping or another town inspired visit. I can't honestly say I have visited any of the exhibitions they host. I come only for the cafe and kids space.

“Small but beautifully formed!”
Reviewed 10 August 2012

A fabulous, almost hidden, treasure. Very friendly staff, lovely museum with things to try on - I think these were aimed at children, but we played with them too! Informative, educational and fun. The art gallery next door is also small with pieces by famous artists, such a Greyson Perry and a couple of Lowries.

The cafe is excellent and the surrounding gardens a very nice place to sit for a while and soak up the atmosphere.

Recommended.

“The Collection / Usher Gallery”
Reviewed 2 August 2012

It's free, it's fun, it's worth a trip. Suitable for children of all ages (inc adults!). Nice cafe and toilets too! There is a car park outside which fills up quite quickly, but we walked down "Steep Hill" from the Castle and Cathedral - some great little shops.

Reviewed 28 July 2012

Both the Usher Gallery with its fine collections and special events and the Collection next door are excellent places to visit and explore.......particularly for families.
