Description: At The Living Room our focus remains on sourcing the best quality ingredients, preparing them simply and delivering bags of flavour and texture on the plate. This is good, honest, robust and stylish food with its origins firmly in the European tradition with international touches. There is nothing frilly or fancy. A selection of Home Comforts - bangers and mash, fish and chips – are designed for easy eating yet there are also more elaborate dishes like Seared peppered tuna with salsa rosso or Roasted lamb cutlets with minted pesto vegetables. Small plates - such as cured ham with grissini and olives – allow for casual snacking while sandwiches and salads enable one-course, easy and casual dining. All-day opening is designed to facilitate easy access and reinforces a core ethos behind The Living Room; you, the customer, is the one empowered to make decisions and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to do that, enjoy it and be comfortable.

“Great”
Reviewed 25 August 2014 via mobile

My partner and myself went for our evening meal here on a weekend trip to Liverpool.

I was really pleased with our choice, atmosphere was great and we both felt very comfortable. Food was a 9/10, quick service and tasted fantastic.

All the cocktails we tried were lovely also.

Waitress was very attentive and friendly, overall a good experience and will definitely return.

“Disappointing meal at The Living Room, Liverpool”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

Had the most disgusting cured salmon I have ever had the misfortune to eat at the Living Room, followed my a chicken breast that looked more like pigeon than chicken, smallest chicken breast ever. The gents toilets are an absolute disgrace. I always wonder what the kitchens are like if they keep the general areas filthy.

“Words fail me !! ”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

We were a party of two 40 something couples who chose the living room for some post dinner drinks on Saturday night 16/8 , we sat in a booth table to continue our evening ,all was going well until at 9.40 PM a member of staff placed a reserved sign on our table and told us in a very forceful way we had to vacate the table at 10pm as it was reserved !!

We politely told the manageress that we had been sat at the table for an hour and a half with no mention of having to vacate at any particular time , we had also spent a significant amount of money on food and drinks over the course of the evening and were suddenly made to fell very unwelcome .. At 10 PM on the dot we were confronted by a bouncer requesting that we vacate the table immediately , it appeared that a hen party had called ahead to reserve some tables and we were in a prime seating position.
The whole experience was very unpleasant and we were made to feel very intimidated and unwelcome, the whole situation could have been handled so much better if the Manageress had explained the situation rather than just plonking down a reserved sign on our table and walking off, maybe complimentary drinks and a polite request to move to another area may have helped ?

Needless to say we won't be going back !

“Lunch”
Reviewed 6 August 2014 via mobile

About my third time here and seemed to be the same. Staff laid back and not push which is what I like.
I went with the lamb which was very nice my friend had the beef and ale pie and he seemed to enjoy it. Fish was off which was a little disappointing but the meals were nice.
Very quiet this time so for lunch probably no need to book.

“Friendly service with great food”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

Very good restaurant, well laid out so you don't feel you have space to yourselves. Had the duck with pickled pear which was beautiful, cooked to perfection. My girlfriend had the pulled pork which she thoroughly enjoyed. The waitress was very friendly and attentive but wasn't hovering around the table waiting for you to finish. The cocktails were made very well by the bar staff and everything was reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.
