“Good Rooms/ Lots of Restrictions”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Firstly id like to start by saying its in a great location and the rooms are really spacious and well decorated however the finish isnt exactly to the highest standards such as faulty temperature tap on one of the showers and marks on the walls. The staff whilst friendly when talking gave very little information about our stay and also looked for every opportunity to keep the deposit even with faults which were already in the room and trivial such as a dirty carpet which could easily have been hoovered by their cleaners. Your only given 2 door keys which isnt really helpful when theres 6 of you in a room.

Room Tip: Try and get a corner room as these seemed to be a better layout and more spacious especially on the...

Me and m girlfriend went to stay at Posh Pads for a couple of nights as part of a shopping trip. I'm not usually one to write a bad review but I felt I needed to this time. Upon arrival the staff were not very welcoming, it felt like we had interrupted their conversation. The male staff member did not say anything to us, not even a greeting. The female staff member was slightly blunt and did not seem to want to be where she was. It was only when checking in that I found out a charge of £150.00 was needed for a safety deposit and that after checking out it could take up to 5 days for the deposit to appear back into my account. We were not told much about our stay, for example, about breakfast, meals, or wi-fi.
When we got to our room we were quite pleased. It was big, clean and very modern, although there were a few markings/scratches on a couple of the walls.
When it came to our first nights sleep we had very high hopes, as the bed looked really comfy, but we did not take into account the noise that we would be able to hear from outside. This included, bin/recycling lorries, buses, general traffic, and early morning drunks. Even when both the bedroom windows were shut (well, one of them would not shut properly but almost) we could still hear everything and this meant that we were constantly waking up in the middle of the night. You would think that as we were on the first floor and located literally right outside a bus stop that they would make the windows thicker.
What was meant to be a nice and romantic shopping trip definitely did not turn out that way and I would never stay there again, especially not for that price.

Staff were helpful and friendly, even at 5:45am when we checked out! Apartment was in a great location, very comfortable, modern, well equipped and clean. We'll certainly be staying there again. Parking was convenient too, as underneath the building, you just need to book this at the same time as booking the room. Also if you book directly, they guarantee you'll get the best rates!

I loved it. Great location. Right in the middle of everything. Made our first visit to Liverpool so easy. Would 500% stay here again.

The only thing I'd say is the photos make it look like 5 star but I'd say it's more 4 star so don't get too excited. Maybe the bigger suites are nicer but our one was lovely but not wow.

However I loved this place and staff were great.
Thanks a million

Posh Pads is located perfectly in Liverpool City Centre. It is around a 15 minute walk from Lime Street station or around £5 by taxi. The Albert Dock area is less than 10 minutes away and the major shopping centre, Liverpool One is just accross the road. A handy supermarket is an essential when staying in an apartment and this is close by as well, a Tesco is about 4 doors away!
The staff were very efficient and helpful when we checked in and our modern apartment was superb. A spacious combined lounge/diner and kitchen, 2 generously sized bedrooms and a large bathroom - all cleaned to a high standard. The kitchen was fully equiped and the lounge had a large flat TV with Freeview and an I-pod dock.
Downstairs there are two bar/restauarnat areas either side of the entrance to the hotel. We personally thought The Hub was the better of the 2 but thats a matter of personal taste. A special offer was available on Cocktails between 5 and 6pm but otherwise the food and drink prices were in line with most UK city centre areas.
I only have some minor criticisms which stop me giving Posh Pads 5/5. Firstly it is on a busy road so noise tended to be an issue, especially in the morning. Also there is a charge of £5 per day for wifi. I would expect this to be free given the cost of the rooms, although it is available free in the downstairs bars. Our apartment was also very warm, although to be fair it was a particularly warm week in Liverpool when we visited.
Overall though these are minor points. We did thouroughly enjoy our stay and would certainly visit again. Location, staff, cleanliness and security were all first rate and the Hotels deserves a recommendation.

Room Tip: I would ask for an upper floor to lessen the traffic noise.

We stayed here for a hen night, we had two apartments, I stayed in the champaign suit and loved it. It was extremely spacious, with two bedrooms and a large open plan living area and two huge terraces with views of Liverpool one. After hours there was an excellent security service to control entrants to the apartment. Can be pricey however more than reasonable when shared between a larger party.
Definitely recommend.
