I've had decent visits before but the latest was a disappointment. Café was crowded as there was a big ITV live event happening on the dock, and staff seemed to be struggling to cope. Had the Lancashire breakfast which has decent ingredients but sausage and bacon were undercooked. Capuccino is always good and server was friendly. Kitchen just need to concentrate more on what they're sending out

Went Sat 28th Sept after Chagall exhibition. For a great location and something bearing the Tate name, this is shockingly bad. Fish cakes lacked fish and taste. Chips lacked taste bar fat. £4.20 for a packet of sandwiches is eye-watering. Staff didn’t look happy in the main.

All round embarrassingly awful – a throwback to UK standards of 20+ years ago. Sort out your standards, your staff and your pricing – you’re in a major tourist location and broadcasting that you just want to rip off passing tourists who’ll probably only visit the once. Embarrassing for the Tate and for Liverpool.

Following on from seeing the Chagall exhibition I took lunch here. The selection of light, healthy lunch options is excellent and I settled upon the grilled chicken with a bean salad; it did not disappoint. They also make a darned good cup of espresso coffee.
On the down side, the staff could be a tad more cheerful and engaging, but hey... it's a minor point.

Sit outside on the Albert Dock ..... just perfect to while away an hour or so and take in the scenic views. One pot of tea makes 4 cups and the coffee is excellent. The staff were super friendly and helpful ..... try their "Flourless" chocolate cake ..... but share it as its super choccy large and gorgeous.

Tasty chicken breast and cannelini bean salad for £6.95. It is a bit canteen like environment but worth a visit during a visit to the Tate.
