Owner description: Completed in 1978 this is the largest Anglican cathedral in Europe. Inside, the lack of adornments only adds to vastness of the "great space." A combination of elevator and stairs takes visitors to the exterior heights of the tower and some grand views of the city and landscapes below. A small fee is required for the vista experience.

How else can you describe this Cathedral. The largest Anglican Cathedral in the uk, which also sports the largest Organ in the Country! Magnificent stained glass windows, and also the largest set of Bells in the Country which can be viewed if one takes the trip up the Tower to be enthralled by the stunning views of the City. A couple of Restaurants if you are feeling peckish and well maintained toilet facilities. My one complaint would be that, considering it has the most famous Organ in the Country, they have no information on it!!

“Church Bells...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014

This is an amazing Cathedral, it's huge! Found it to be very interesting and as we went near sunset time we got to listen to the cathedral bells ringing. Was really nice to discover as we explored Liverpool city centre.

“Beautiful - well worth a visit”

Amazing architecture and beautifully tranquil atmosphere. Visited early August 2014. Always been a massive fan of Durham Cathedral but Liverpool Cathedral absolutely blew it out of the water. Beautiful!

“More than the eyes and mind can fathom”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014

The Liverpool Cathedral is amazing - without question it is the largest building I have ever seen. I admire the abilities of workers to craft such a structure! I was surprised to learn how relatively new the building is, as it effectively captures the spirit of more classical cathedral architecture found in England.

I took several photos, but none capture the gigantic scale of this structure. It is most impressive!

“A silence falls”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014

A silence always falls when you walk to any cathedral. And here it was rightly so. Beautiful interiors and wonderful feeling of spirituality. The stained glass was so wonderful. I was blown away.
