Stayed here for one night when going to the Empire to watch Blood Brothers and was impressed with the overall standard of the hotel

Check in was quick and friendly and the room on the 6th floor had a great view of the Albert Dock We particularly liked the shower which was large and great to use

My only gripe was the times for breakfast as even on a Sunday it finished at 10 We prefer a more leisurely start so in fact missed it and instead enjoyed a very nice breakfast at Cafe Sports Express which is about a 10 minute walk away towards the Liverpool One shopping centre

The hotel has it's own car park which we didn't pay for as I think the receptionist forgot to ask but I believe it is £5 for the night

- early arrival at hotel treated with very defensive employee. No possibilities at all for early check in (11 am)
- long unorganized queue at check in (2:30 pm), no HH queue
- room allocation not according to preference (upon questioning no reason given why not)
- not clean room (dirty spots on wall, fingerprinted window, dusty (static))

However, judging the location and the bed, it still is a recommendable hotel with hopefully just incidental quality problems..... Staff response I am sorry (about 15 times this stay) will not do next time and I wonder what 100% satisfaction garantee entails.....

Clean rooms, great staff, the breakfast is meager but acceptable. Had a small problem with the cleanliness of my room on the first day but they took care of it right away. For the price this is probably one of the best places to stay downtown Liverpool.

After looking at lots of reviews on Tripadvisor in our search for a Liverpool hotel, my boyfriend came up with this one, based on its location, well priced underground car parking and complimentary breakfast. The hotel is only 7 months old (you can still smell the newness of the carpets!). The decor is contemporary, with lovely bright colours in the reception area. Do an early check in to get the best choice of room - get as high a floor as possible to get the best views and ask for a view of the Albert Dock. We were in room 415 with great views of the Albert Dock which is across the road from the hotel. Next door in an unfinished building site, we were told the builders had gone into liquidation - but dont be put off, this means you get maximum light into the room and allows great views, so definately a plus. The room seemed small at first sight, but proved perfect. The room was spotlessly clean. The bathroom is lovely with a great walk in shower and free toiletries in containers attached to the walls. There are tea & coffee making facilities and a nice big flat screen TV. My only negative comment would be that during our stay one of the 2 lifts was out of action and the other tiny lift took forever to arrive so we just walked in the end. However, the 2nd lift was working by the last day of our stay. The underground car park was secure and we were able to leave a lot of our luggage in the car without having to worry about it. The parking was a bargain at £5 per day. We only intended staying in Liverpool for 2 nights but loved the city and the hotel so much we extended it to 3 nights. The hotel is ideally located for the main shopping area and Liverpool 1 shopping area, being 5 mins walk away. Also, despite its great location, its slightly off the road and away from the Albert Dock and you get no noise whatsoever. Despite some negative reviews, we had excellent meals at Jamie Oliver's restaurant about 5 mins walk from the hotel. The food was reasonably priced and excellent with good service. The squid, pasta carbonara and tiramasu were EXCELLENT!!! We ended up eating there 2 evenings and one lunchtime. Will definately be going back to Liverpool for a weekend break and to this hotel. It was pretty much faultess. And its a plus to get a free breakfast in a hotel in this day and age! Also, if you search around you can get good deals on this hotel.
