“Again - fantastic value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 April 2014

This is the 4th of 5th time I have stayed here and yet again I cannot fault it.

All of the reception staff are friendly and helpful.

The location is great. It's close to Liverpool one the main shopping area. Close to the Albert docks which has great museums, bars and restaurants.
Directly outside of the hotels are great bars and restaurants.

The rooms are such great value for money. They have everything -:- contemporary furnishings, modern bathrooms, safe, tea making machine, iron and iron board.

What more could you want for that price?!!

Heywood hotel absolutely brilliant very clean and quiet everything on your doorstep only down side you have to park in the Liverpool one cat park on the strand which cost a £9.50 with a discount card from the hotel for a 24 hour stay. Would defiantly stay there again as staff where polite and very helpfull as our first visit to Liverpool told us where to go which pubs where popular and even give us a map of all the attractions that the city has to offer which are loads

Good Evening! Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on the hotel. I am delighted to hear that you found the location of the hotel ideal for your stay and that you had a positive experience with our staff. Regarding the car park, i’m sorry to read that this was an inconvenience with for you. As a city centre hotel, parking is quite difficult however we have ensured that our guests receive a great deal with the Liverpool One Q car park and is much cheaper than anywhere else in the city. I hope that we can welcome you back to Heywood House in the future.

Just returned from a one night break at The Heywood House. Our room was great, booked through last minute and the hotel upgraded us free of charge as they had a plush room available. Rooms and decor throughout was tastefully done, felt like a boutique on a budget but was well worth the price we paid. Location is fantastic, Albert docks, cavern quarter all within 5 minute stroll. Only problem was finding the car park which you receive discount from. Thus is of no fault of the hotel, just the way liverpool car parks are signposted. Maybe advise people it is in the middle of the road. Plenty of nice bars and restaurants within walking distance. Would recommend and stay again. Nearly forgot to say how amazing the shower was, very powerful and just the job to wake you up.

A lovely stay at this hotel, we couldn't fault anything at all. The location is great, staff are very good, especially the big guy on the bar, he had us in fits of laughter with his jokes. 1st time here but we will certainly be back.
Food is good, could be better but still perfectly fine for what we were looking for.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms near the lift as its in use all night

My Husband and I stayed here at the weekend, and were really impressed with not only the hotel, but also the quality of service...James was great! The plush double room is lovely and the location is ideal with the cavern a couple of minutes walk away. We'd definitely stay here again!

At £100+ per night for a very decent room without great frills felt a bit steep. The room was of higher standard than your average Premier Inn but not twice as good. The walls of our room were paper thin and we could hear the bloke next door getting up in the middle of the night and entertaining friends until 3.00am. At least at Premier Inn give you a guaranteed night's sleep or your money back.

Once you are through Reception (tiny) and pass through a secure door you are into the hotel corridors. I appreciate the hotel sells itself on "budget where it matters, quality where it counts" but neither are especially present.

We booked our 4 night stay through Expedia and were stunned to discover on arrival that there were no catering facilities i.e. restaurant or room service. A discount voucher was available to have breakfast at a cafe around the corner, unfortunately on Sunday morning it didn't open until 10.00am which was inconvenient. We were forced to go to Tesco Metro for milk and cereal.

The reception staff were generally anonymous, not once did we hear a "Good Morning / Evening" or even the ubiquitous "Have a Nice Day!".

The only advantage was a 40% discount at the local Q Park which made parking reaonable versus other English cities.

This hotel would be acceptable for a single night but I couldn't recommend it for more than that as the facilities are non existent.

Good Morning! Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on Heywood House. I am sorry to read that you did not enjoy your stay with us. In terms of facilities, we have removed all advertising and breakfast packages from all websites until our restaurant reopens. Along with priding ourselves on Budget where it matters, quality where it counts, we feel that our location and proximity no more than 5 minute walking distance from all the major bars and restaurants has been overlooked, however I can appreciate how not having restaurant or bar facilities directly in the same building can be an inconvenience, so once again I would like to apologise.

At Heywood House, we operate a 24 hour desk policy, and as seen in the majority of our Trip Advisor reviews, our Reception Team have been noted for their friendliness and attentiveness to our guests, so I am disappointed to read that you feel that this was not provided to you for your stay. However we do appreciate the feedback and I will hand this over to the team for their consideration.

Stayed one night at the Heywood house hotel .the room was comfortable. clean and had everything you could need from refreshments to iron and ironing board. The staff were really pleasant and helpful and on arrival and departure we were allowed to leave our bags with them whilst we went into town . We would definitely use this hotel again when staying in Liverpool and highly recommend it.
