“Great central boutique hotel!”
Reviewed 16 August 2014 via mobile

We stayed here for 1 night after attending a wedding at Liverpool Town Hall which is just around the corner. Great location for Liverpool One, Docks etc & very reasonably priced compared with other central hotels. This is the second time we've stayed & had room 108 both times by coincidence - very nice room & bathroom. The room has the most amazing blackout curtains I have ever seen - 10.30am & not a peek of light, really did block everything out. Staff were helpful & friendly & we will easily stay again when we visit Liverpool. If you are parking, the Q-Park at Liverpool one is nearby & you can get a discount voucher from the hotel - we paid £9.50 for 24 instead of £15.

Very well located for both shopping in Liverpool One and the city centre and also visiting the Albert Dock. Room was modern, bed very comfy, bathroom modern and staff were pleasant and helpful. Bus from airport also stops just around the corner.

Brilliant location and excellent value for money having booked through 'secret hotels' on lastminute.com. Within easy walking distance of the Pierhead and the 'ferry cross the Mersey' as well as the Cavernb Club and shops. Cathedrals are quite a walk away but do-able!

We stayed 3 nights in this excellent hotel. Great location, room clean, smart and beds comfy. It's a bit odd that there is no restaurant but there are plenty of good restaurants / coffee shops nearby. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

This hotel is a hidden gem in a convenient location. It's within easy walking distance to the Lime St. Station, the LIverpool One shopping complex, the Albert Docks, and Mathew St. (the Cavern Club). All staff were cheerful, informative, and helpful as we looked to fill up two days with "must see" attractions. The room we had (on the third floor) was a good size with modern design/decor. The bed was comfortable, although as a "double" it was simply two twins put together. Not much of a view, but that's what city exploring is all about. Liverpool proved to be a great little spontaneous getaway.

Stayed one night in Superior Twin and well worth the money. Room tastefully furnished, clean and everything provided from toiletries, iron, hairdryer and robes. So nice wanted to stay more than the one night. Yes there is a little noise from the bar next door, but, uif you want a city centre location ...! All quiet by 11 though so not really a problem (and we were in the room closest to the bar!). Each member of staff I met were equally friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel. No hesitation in recommending and staying again.

We stayed at the Heywood House Hotel on July, 30th. I booked this hotel because of its location and price. It was as easy to get to by car as it was easy to get rid of the car by parking it at QPark, which is a fantastic option if you take into consideration the substantial discount off the parking fee with a voucher you get from the hotel. Although the parking vouchers are for the QPark at Liverpool One, when I told the staff that I had parked at the QPark John Lewis nearby, the told me that it wouldn't matter as the discount was also available for this parking.
The hotel is a few minute walk to the busiest streets of the city centre, Liverpool One, Albert Dock and other Waterfront attractions and one minute to James Street station.
Reception is tiny, but this is no problem at all. You don't stay at reception.
Access to the lift and staircase through a door that you open with your key seems a good security idea.
The rooms are good-sized, very clean, silent and well appointed. Good bathroom with a nice shower and a selection of amenities. The bed is big enough and very comfortable.
Complimentary coffee and muffin at reception rounds a perfect stay.
I recommend this hotel without hesitation, and will be my first choice in any trip to Liverpool in the future.
