We tend to pop into The Richmond whenever we visit Liverpool. It's such a great little quirky pub with traditional values! Excellent selection of real ales along with 'proper' service! Good beer, good prices and good people!

5 minuets from the train station and in the middle of Liverpool situated above a very nice little boozer is a stunning set of apartments

roomy and comfortable the only thing that let them down were a couple of finishing touches (one of the toilet doors not shutting properly was a mild concern for a man with some drunken friends and camera phones for instance ) but these minor things really pale into insignificance when you take into account how welcome we were made to feel

from turning up and been shown where we were sleeping to staggering down stairs the next morning and being advised where to get a good breakfast our stay was very pleasant ( hangover aside) and i'd recommend it to anybody wanting a place to stay and a selection of fine ales to drink while being there

6 lads from Halifax on a stag do in Liverpool,we stayed in the Richmond, the apartment is finished to a very high standard and seems to go for ever with lots of rooms and bathrooms.the staff are great and couldn't do enough for us. very friendly. the Richmond is situated in the centre just a short walk from the train station and near to everything you could possibly want to see or do in Liverpool.

I have mixed feelings about the Richmond. It was once the hive for the local drinker - small and understated. It is now become beyond that, as have many a Liverpool city centre boozer, and is geared (I feel) for the tourist and the visitor to Liverpool - but perhaps forgetting its origins and the earlier people who used to drink there (receiving your change on the bar and not in your hand doesn't go down too well with me I'm afraid!) ! However, saying that - you can't ignore the lovely job they have made of it in recent years and is definitely worth a visit

If you enjoy meeting new people, you can't go wrong with the Richmond! Its location and amenities cannot be beat! You have a separate entrance to the apartment upstairs of the pub, containing the first floor of a living room and kitchen. Next floor is two bedrooms and a bath, and the final floor also has two bedrooms and a bath. The Richmond will rent you the entire apartment (sleeps 10) or you can rent out a single room. The staff supplies coffee, tea, hot cocoa, along with everything you need for a continental breakfast, you just help yourself! My husband and I (both near 50 years old) rented one room and stayed for four nights. It is just around a couple of blocks from Mathew Street (Cavern district), but we had a wonderful night’s sleep. There is also a deli right off the front door along with a cheap food walkup to get anything you might need. If you're the type that likes beer, talking to complete strangers in your jamies, and sharing breakfast then the Richmond is for you!

Fantastic apartments in centre of liverpool. Rooms spread over 3 floors. Photos really don't do it justice. 5* quality furniture, bedding and bathrooms. Selection of cereals, jams, cheese and ham etc were left for us to help ourselves together with full cooking facilities. Carla (owner) was so helpful and friendly. Bar staff couldnt do enough for you. Will definately return.

Stayed just for one night and accommodation was first class, the real ales on offer were great too with a wide selection, in fact they were the reason I ended up staying!
