We stayed here for two nights, having only booked the night before we was excited to see what the hotel had to offer. When we arrived we was greated by jade who was lovely. She explained everything to us the best places to go eat and where not to ha.
The room was lovely had clean towels each day and bed was made both days. Room was confortable with large windows, hairdryer, irnoing board and small kitchen everything you could possible need. We will be coming back later in the year and booking here again as its so central to to everything we wanted to do in the city.

Stayed for 2 nights March 2014, booked last minute & got an excellent deal on a standard double room.

The building itself is absolutley wonderful (im a sucker for abit of rustic brickwork inside & out) and location is PERFECT! It is one straight road, (2minutes, if that ... depending on how long your legs are ofcourse :) directly into the city centre.

Arriving was a little difficult as due to the central location there is limited spaces in the surrounding area to stop in order to park and check in, but this is a minor detail as reception are more than happy to allow you to leave your luggage with them and direct you to the secure car park used by all guests (with a discount provided at the end of your stay) before completing all the neccessary booking in.

Booking in was quick & easy and the decor you experience in the lounge room located opposite the reception area is wonderful ... simple & chique!
A personal favourite of mine was the projected video/art work named "My Dream" located in the lift area playing an array of images & music relating to the threats of climate change ... it is simply a beautiful sight to experience and adds a lovely atmosphere.

The room was wonderful, everything we needed and more ...
... spotless from top to bottom, the decor is chique & sophisticated (PS love the duckegg colour paint - a personal favourite of mine) the bed was so comfortable and extra pillows are already supplied in the wardrobe, the bathroom was clean & fresh, and the power shower is amazing! Iron & ironing board are provided in the room and the kitchenette which is secretly hidden within the depths of the wardrobe is an absolutley brilliant concept and allows guests to really feel like the room is their own. My only 2 issues to point out are that the stool in the room had some marks on it & one of the cupboards on the kitchenette was missing a clasp an therefore didnt shut correctly (ofcourse these again are minor issues and didnt spoil our stay or experience)
The arrival pack in the room provides information on all the room facilities but also entertainment/restaurants etc local to the area with a list of a variety of restaurants that give a discount for Base2stay guests. However reception/management were more than willing to provide any further help & advice that we needed.
I would also like to point out that security is brilliant, the key cards for your room are used to enter the building & also to activate the lifts so i felt secure when inside the hotel.

I would happily recommend Base2stay to anyone ...
it is an exquisite "rustic" building with a beautiful contemporary feel to the decor .... and the juxtaposition of the two is met with absolute precision! The central location is perfect for shoppers or those wanting to do all the "touristy sites" and there are plenty of restaurants & bars surrounding the hotel well within walking distance (saving on those sometimes begrudging taxi fares that we all know of)

I couldn't have asked for more from a romantic few days away with my partner and Base2stay was the perfect setting.

Thank you to the management & staff x

Went for the weekend to celebrate my brother in laws 50th birthday what a brilliant time we had and this hotel is the ideal place to stay the hotel is very up market and the bedrooms are too, also the whole of the hotel is spotlessly clean. The location of this hotel is ideal its right in the heart of the city centre by Liverpool 1. The staff are all very friendly helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a great hotel to stay in the city of Liverpool. EXCELLENT

Stayed here for 2 nights 26 + 27/2. Booked it just a few days before and got an excellent deal on a standard double room. The building is a converted warehouse in a side street a stones throw from the city centre and round the corner from the Ropewalks area. Decor is stylish, rooms very clean and well thought out. The room has the appearance of a hotel room with a handy mini kitchen (fridge, sink, microwave) in a cupboard. The bed was very comfortable and bigger than a normal king size. External noise was negligible due to excellent glazing. All in all, couldn't fault this place and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to friends and family.

Stayed for one night on 1st March. Facility available to leave luggage with hotel prior to check-in. (We arrived at 1pm ahead of a 2pm check-in time.) Very well appointed room for basic double - decent size for a one night stay. Kitchenette cupboard contained microwave, fridge and kettle with tea & coffee. Rooms cleaned to a very good standard.

No bar or restaurant but this is as advertised as it enables them to keep costs/prices down.

Hotel is in central location close to Concert Street. Short walk (5 mins) to the central shopping area and 10-15 minutes to Albert Dock/Echo Arena.

Walking back to the hotel on a Saturday night there were numerous groups of youths 'out on the lash' which could be intimidating to some couples/families. Despite the location close to the 'bar area' of Concert Street and the busy nature of Seel Street, the effective double glazing meant that there was no noise from street level. On the night we stayed the residents were also quiet and there was no early morning noise from revellers returning to their rooms.

We would certainly stay at base2stay again if we return to Liverpool.

Room Tip: _05, _06, _07, _08 are at the end of the corridor away from the lift area and hence quiet.

Spotted base2stay on our first visit to Liverpool last year and stayed one night while visiting the university last month. What's not to like? Great location for city, car parking and university. Love having mini kitchen facility, good spacious room even with three of us, clean and comfortable. Would recommend and would stay again.

Not much to add to other reviews: excellent, city centre location; everything provided and, more importantly, well thought out (four accessible power points, for example). Surprisingly quiet given its location. Friendly, well-informed staff. Will definitely be back.
