The hotel and staff were fabulous, the room was a standard double which was well presented and cleaned to perfection. The only problem was with the window which due to the windy weather whistled alot during the night, so why have i given this hotel a 5 ig my sleep was hindered....well they had sky sports channels on the TV at no extra cost WINNER!! oh yeah breakfast was amazing but what man would complain when your getting fed bacon (as much as you can eat for £7.50) the mrs enjoyed herself too :)

We stayed in the holiday Inn last weekend for the second time to visit our son in university I can honestly say I cannot fault the place the check in was good the receptionist Stephen was very polite and nice. The rooms are spotless with a big double bed even a choice of firm or soft cushions tea and coffee facilities with can i mention mugs instead of those little cups that you often get that you cant get your fingers through. we only stayed two nights on room only board as there is everything within walking distance the night life is great for all ages with live bands on in some bars and every one is very friendly. The hotel is over the road from Lime street station for anyone coming by train so you don't need transport. all in all a lovely weekend and we will be returning

Booked another hotel in Liverpool originally, but walked in and was so horrified by smell of boild cabagge in the grand Foyer, broken lift on the 5th floor, shabby room with mismatching and broken furniture so checked out immediately. and walked over to the Holiday Inn thank goodness we did . Had a wonderful room clean spacious and hotel staff very welcoming and professional. My 92 year old father really enjoyed our stay will definately stay again.

This is a standard Holiday Inn. The service at check in and check out was smooth. The room was good and clean. Breakfast was of good quality and ample. Service at the restaurant was very good. The shower was better than at many other Holiday Inns. Free wifi was available but was erratic because connection was frequently and repeatedly dropped.

If you are staying here please use public transport. It is almost bang opposite Liverpool Lime Street rail station. And handy in that respect.

I suggest you do not use this hotel if you are using your own car. They advertise that parking charge is £6 for 24 hours. That applies only if you leave the car parked for all the 24 hours. If you take it out in between, hourly rates apply. And they are not cheap.

The problem is that the parking arrangement is at a private car park almost adjacent, not owned by the hotel but with whom Holiday Inn has some understanding. And the parking spaces have been made very cramped in order to maximise earnings for the owners. My new VW Passat had damage to rear-door while it was parked there. I can only blame the St John's Shopping Car Park owners for making the spaces so exceedingly tight. Will cost at least £150 to repair which is more than the cost of a double room at the Holiday Inn with breakfast included! Not a happy experience at the Liverpool City Centre Holiday Inn. I wish now that I had gone elsewhere...

Dear 'Imliooper'
Thank you for taking the time to provide your review following your recent stay with us.
Needless to say, we are most concerned to learn that you time in our City was tarnished due to damage caused to your vehicle in the adjoining shopping centre car park.
I have met with the shopping centre Director to advise him of your feedback and he wishes is own apologies to be forwarded to you.
On a more positive note, we are pleased to learn that you found our service, breakfast and bedroom to a good standard.
We hope that you will consider returning to us in the future.
Yours faithfully
Jonathan

We arrived by train from Euston at Lime Street and literally crossed the road straight into the hotel. Had a good sized clean room (appreciated the Sky sports stations on the room TV). Location near to all the tourist sights with more than enough shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants all within close proximity. Had 'only room' basis, which we booked and paid for in advance (excellent value), had one breakfast with good choice of food but loads of choices elsewhere. Stayed for 4 nights on a quiet fifth floor, great introduction to a great city, leaves us wanting more!

Room Tip: We stayed in room facing out from rear of hotel which probably protected us from busy street traffic...

I booked the Holiday Inn again after staying here before on many occasions. It did not disappoint. The staff were particularly good and the rooms are to a good standard and better than most other hotels in the chain I have stayed in. I had breakfast in the restaurant and really enjoyed the food which is a hot buffet style. The only thing I would ask is why they seem to be rationing the tea and coffee at breakfast now? All in all a good stay

Room Tip: A room higher is quieter
