Start with the positives: Location, very good a walking distance from Lime Street Station, Liverpool One Shopping Centre and the city centre. Check-in was also quite fast. Rates are good for such a central location.
Now on to the finer details.
The rooms - small, dated, old furniture, bathroom needs replacing. Everything about the room appeared tired, in desperate need of renovation.
Breakfast - chaos. A long queue to get in the dinner hall to be seated, a huge queue at the buffet breakfast bar, not enough food being replaced fast enough, staff not very friendly. Potential, but needs a bit more effort and better planning.
This is a 2* or at a stretch a 3* in my opinion. I would only consider staying again for 1 night if nowhere else as central was available. More
