“Beter than expected”
Reviewed 10 March 2014 via mobile

We didn't expect much when I booked this for my wife's birthday but we were pleasantly surprised. Room was clean. Staff were friendly. Breakfast wasn't bad. The hotel itself is in a brilliant location fit the city. Couldn't ask for more from a "Bugdet Hotel"

Cheapest rate we found along the river, good view and great location. Restaurant serves good food at night and lovely breakfast. Staff very helpful and even let you leave the car there on day of departure so you can maximise your time there. Would recommend this for the arena for concerts as well as it's 5 minutes walk away

Need renovation. Poor service but ideal for short stays. Useful free parking and wifi. For the price you pay you get what you get also because other liverpool hotels are more expensive. I would not opt for this hotel with family however

Room Tip: Try to get a sea view room. They are quiet and the best

The title isn't exactly accurate, as Travelodge standards are well above this over priced hotel!

There are many other cheaper hotels in the area and are much closer to where all the entertainment is.
Your lucky if you have a room facing the water, and if it has all its lights working, your probably one of the lucky ones!
there is minimal plug sockets and these are located in very awkward places, the wardrobe had no doors in our room, the tiling in the bathroom was very dated and stained.

When booking, I booked a double room, when the confirmation came through, it said I had booked a twin, I tried to ring the company and rectify this issue only to be cut off numerous times. So I decided to email the company, only to be told the booking can not be changed or refunded, the booking also mentioned free breakfast, what they fail to mention, is that its a continental brekky, a full English comes with a £2.75 supplement! In short the best part about this hotel was the leaving!!!!!!

Room Tip: don't book here, there's far cheaper hotels, closer to all ameneties !

Friendly reception at hotel upon arrival.

Pros: view of water, easy access to conference.

Cons: has an air of `rented by the hour`.

Could get a nicer room for not much more elsewhere

Breakfast overpriced and a disappointment. Could have eaten in a nice cafe instead.

Plugs far from the bed.

No central heating

Poor sound proofing

Would not stay here again, but it's a good enough room if you pay no more than £30 a night.

This was the first time I've stopped in this hotel and it will be the last!
The room wasn't the best by any means! The kettle had stale water inside and all of the fittings were wonky! The bathroom wasn't the cleanest either, the toilet seat was broken and behind the toilet seat was dirty. Also the flush on the toilet was temperamental! And in the morning we had no hot water!
Also the rooms are not soundproof! We heard everyone walking down the hallway and even heard the people next door talking! The only good thing about the room was that the bed was nice and soft.
At £104 for the night I expected a lot better!

We decided to have the continental breakfast in the morning and I wasn't impressed! There was nowhere near enough choice considering it costs £6 each!

I personally wouldn't recommend this hotel as you can get hotels in the main centre for around the same cost!

Another lovely stay at this hotel. Cannot fault how friendly and helpful all the staff are here. Rooms very clean and so comfortable and full english breakfast was delicious!
10 minute walk to Liverpool One - major shopping/eating/drinking/entertainment area - along the fabulous Albert Docks. For £60 double room bed and breakfast we would highly recommend this budget hotel.
