Handy for visiting son, was just a short stroll, and a handy bus service into Liverpool, room wasn't great was to hot at night, shower wasn't great and was first time that I didn't take toiletries as we were only staying one night and usually there are some, but only thing there was there was hand wash.was ok for what we needed it for, breakfast was good. Over all was ok paid £76 , was a bit over priced

We had an appointment in Liverpool early on Saturday 16th November and needed somewhere within easy reach of the city centre to stay. As we were arriving at 6pm and departing just over 12 hours later my partner ordered me to keep away from the better known, modern and expensive hotels with many stars but sought somewhere clean and comfortable and cheaper! I didn't spend long on the Internet searching after all it's a bit of a gamble. However to my surprise, I found everything at Green Park Hotel ticked all the boxes. The chap on reception couldn't have been more helpful, assisting with directions when I was lost and making a fabulous recommendation for somewhere to eat (santinis, Italian, just over the road). The room was clean, comfortable and I would thoroughly recommend GPH to anyone seeking affordable accommodation just a short distance to the centre.

Room Tip: Very happy with Room 18, lovely big sash windows and an additional bed!

We had a group if ten girls on a Friday afternoon and we had booked through the hen party website and paid in full when arriving we were shocked to hear thy wanted an extra £25 per person in cash as a bond. We were not made aware I this and know it is not the hotels fault it is that of the company but they really need to work with them and put this information on their website. The rooms were fine for what we wanted a few tiny little improvements could be made. The staff were friendly and called us taxis to town all the time. In the morning we had another confusion as we had paid for breakfast but the company had told the hotel it was just a room so we ha to go and seek food. Again this is not he hotel but they need to meet with the company and discuss ways of stopping this. On the Saturday night we had 10 more girls join us and also were astounded by the £25 cash asked from each of them. But I can honestly say over the whole weekend we lived Liverpool, had a great laugh with the staff especially the bar man brad who was happy to help, koine in our laughter and kept the bar open for us. Thank you

Stayed here with 11 friends. The outside of the hotel is rundown and drab, so first impression wasnt great. I shared a triple room ( room 21). The room was large and spacious but that was the only good thing about it. The carpet was very badly stained, the bath panal was broken and hanging off, the bathroom window was cracked and there was no door handle. The wardrobe had screws sticking out of it. Possibly the worst thing was when my friend pulled back the covers on the bed only to find crisps in it. The night duty staff tried 3 times to order Taxis for us but it was farceical. We declined breakfast using the assumption that if you cant keep a loo clean that everone see its unlikely the kitchen would be very clean. There was a very distinct odour of damp and foist.
We paid £105 for this room, and the breakfast was not included in the price. I travel a lot and I would say this is possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. And I havent even mentioned the conservstory furniture in the bar or the toilet thats lights only came on at night and it was to dark to pee! On the plus side the other rooms did not seem to be as bad.

we stayed for 2 nights 31st and 1st sep. I asked to see the room before I paid and this was no problem at all, the room was very spacious and bed linen lovely and clean. We paid to have breakfast for the 2 mornings of our stay it was lovely with the staff coming and asking if we wanted more toast or tea all the time. We were not to sure of this area of Liverpool and all the staff were so helpful giving us directions and bus numbers and even one of them who would be off duty gave us her moble number in case we were stuck. talk about going above and beyond it was great. would we stay again most certainly it was a lovely comfy bed as well. all in all fab.

Room Tip: this hotel is a wee bit from the city centre but has a good bus service and lovely restaurants near...

Me and my girlfriend spent a night in Liverpool for a friends 30th. We simply just wanted a clean bed to rest our head. The Green Park Hotel seemed cheap and cheerful enough for us, albeit the poor online reviews. Sadly the only thing "green" about the hotel was the intoxicating smell of cannabis in our room. Searching for the culprit, half expecting to find a grow in the wardrobe, we discovered a sock in the drawer which looked like a group of snails had had a party in it. Whilst getting ready it became apparent bed linen hadn't been washed as it still had the previous nights make-up on it. No towels were supplied, and no toilet roll in the bathroom. But on the plus, we were given a mint and a bottle of water in good gesture and asked if we minded paying for our room, and leaving a 5star review on trip advisor. Well, thanks for the mint, here's your review.

Room Tip: Bring your tent, and peg it up on the park opposite

I booked this hotel with two female friends and stayed in a triple room. It is a beautiful building and really homey inside. The staff looked after us really well and the room was very cosy with the best pillows I have ever had in a hotel room.

It is not super fancy but I thoroughly recommend it for anyone wanting a good priced comfortable stay.
