I booked 2 rooms. A double delux and a twin room for my partner, myself and 2 family members. Check was quick and reception staff friendly. The twin room was comfortable with a good sized bathroom and a large flat screen tv. The delux double had a good size bedroom with a large king size comfortable bed. We had room 402. This particular room had a separate lounge area with a large tv and DVD player. A dinning table set with cutlery and wine glasses and a leather corner style sofa. Complete with coffee table and lamps. There was also another tv in the bedroom area. We had a the usual coffee tea. Hot chocolate to drink but with small cupcakes. Very nice touch. There was a mini bar in the room but as with most hotels not the most cost effective way to have a drink so we didn't use this. The room also included slippers and dressing gowns. All this for far less than a basic budget hotel would cost in the city centre. We had booked in at the liner because of its proximity to the empire theatre which was 2 minutes walk away. The rooms did overlook the train station but this didn't prevent a good nights sleep. The following morning we found an excellent choice for breakfast. Buffet style breakfast but all hot and freshly cooked. Even poaching eggs for me when asked. Upon checking out we where given a token for the carpark (free parking for all residents. A big bonus in a city centre hotel) and told we could in fact remain parked there all day while we explored Liverpool a little more.
The night we stayed the hotel was fully booked but at no time did we feel the staff had any less time for us because of this. We ate in restaurant and the food was served quickly and was lovely and hot.
Overall I'd like to say I couldn't fault this hotel for the price we payed. But in all honesty the price doesn't come into it. I really can not find anything to fault. This will be our first choice when visiting Liverpool.

This hotel is great especially for the price. We stayed the night quite central just on the outskirts of all the action. From the outside it looks rubbish but once tour inside everything is a++. The bathrooms are 100% marble throughout . Highly reccomend this place

We stayed in this hotel for one night as we were attending a Everton match. The hotel is located a block from the train station and a short cab ride to the stadium. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly and efficient staff members. The rooms are quite nice, clean and comfortable. Neil and April in the Castaway Bar are fantastic and entertained me and made my stay there fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for two nights over a weekend and thought it one of the better hotels I've stayed in recently.

My double room on the 5th floor was a good size, fabulously bright (big windows - that open too) and the "cabin" blue and white colour scheme was fresh and clean.

My room was at the front of the hotel and possibly there was a function on at the hotel or very close by as I could hear the bass thudding but not the music particularly, might have been more of a problem if I had of been on a lower floor. Other than that, was not bothered by the noise of other guests (the room doors were very heavy and clunky to shut), or street noise.

Bathroom was a bit small - not much room to leave your bits and pieces and the shower not that good, but was sufficient.

All the staff I spoke to were really friendly and helpful.

The hotel is next door to Liverpool Lime Street (up a sloping hill). A shopping centre and the Albert Docks are a short walk away.

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, will recommend it and will use it again when I return to Liverpool.

Room Tip: From a personal prospective, get a high floor room at the front of the hotel. Smoking rooms still a...

Got a great deal via trivago so was not expecting the really good standards this hotel had to offer.
Friendly staff, clean & tastefully decorated rooms & a brilliant breakfast the morning after. We were on the third floor with Lime Street station right behind us so was expecting disturbed sleep - this was not the case (probably because it was a cool night & we had the windows closed).
Would certainly recommend this hotel without hesitation !

One of our main reasons for choosing this hotel was its proximity to Lime Street station. This made for a convenient base to explore a great city.

The rooms were very clean and had all the usual amenities one would expect. I can only describe the mattresses as "wobbly" - I felt a little sea sick upon first lying down!! But overall very comfortable. One minor criticism is that although shampoo and shower gel are provided, there was no conditioner. Clearly, this is not a massive issue, but it would have been nice, as most other good hotels provide this.

The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice.

The reception staff were generally helpful and were happy to point us in the right direction of the sights we wanted to see. The concierge service was a little sporadic but they were very happy to store out bags both before our room was ready on the first day and after we checked out on the last.

Overall, a nice hotel.
