very central to city centre and lime street station. room on 5th floor with windows that opened thank goodness. very clean and well decorated and lovely bathroom. only slight problem we had was toilet cistern took an age to fill. buffet breakfast had everything from hot cooked to continental but agree with previous review need another coffee/tea machine for busy times. we didn't eat in restaurant but had drinks in castaway bar which were reasonably priced and their food looked great. would definitely stay here again for the price you couldn't get much better.

Good central hotel, within walking distance from Lime Street Station. Room clean and comfortable. Restaurant was very good, the meals were not over-priced and very nice.

Breakfast was very busy, only one machine for tea/coffee and one for juices. Overall though the cooked buffet breakfast was lovely.

Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall a good stay with very reasonable prices and would definitely return.

we stayed here for 1 night after staying earlier in the year we had loved it but this time thumbs down i am afraid the room we had was on the 6 floor the room looked tired wallpaper was ripped and the pelmet above the window was hanging off the bedding was not put on right the duvet had a huge lump where it was just bundled in.
the bathroom looked ok until you looked hairs in the shower and on the sink and the toilet blocked the waste bin was broke the lid had snapped off and was shoved on top of the bin why not replace it!! also the tv the remote did not work and the tv was so dusty i am no snob but when you have so many people coming and going rooms need to be cleaned after a enjoyable stay previous i was let down this time.
sleeping was hard with the aircon going off all night would not stay floor 6 at all, and breakfast was not as good and we felt cramped as the tables seemed so close together .
the reception staff were not friendly on check out at all.

Room Tip: not floor 6 unless you can sleep through anything

We booked a 1 night last minute stay. Well what a lovely surprise, hotel is modern, in a nice part of town and has free parking !!When we checked in we were immediately upgraded to an executive suite, nice one!

Room was absolutely fab, faultless and lovely comfy bed. breakfast was amazing, and it being busy didn't seem to be a problem for the Liner , they coped really well. All the staff were friendly and upbeat, well done. Hope to see you again soon.

Stayed at The Liner for one night…lovely. Arrived to be told that we had a room upgrade….thank you it was lovely!

From the moment we arrived before even entering the building we were met by very nice helpful staff who actually smiled! and made us feel very welcome…this attitude was the same with all the staff during our stay.

The room was very clean, the bedlinen beautiful. The bathroom was spacious with nice toiletries and good quality towels.

The pre theatre dinner deal was very good value three courses with wine for £14.95.

This is where I have to have a moan….we went to the theatre to the ballet and having walked the short walk back to the hotel intended to go into the bar for a drink before bed….however the only bar available is the public bar…no problem with that but it was full and the poor girl on duty had no hope, however good she was, of managing to get people served…we did not stop and instead bought drinks from the mini bar in the room.

Breakfast is a self service style…..which I like….the food was of good quality and well cooked with a huge choice of both hot and cold….again very friendly staff…All in all a good place to stay. Free parking right by the hotel or the station just a few yards away!
