We stayed for two nights while visiting our home city. One big advantage is a free car park .
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food prices in the bar and restaurant were very reasonable. Breakfast buffet had plenty of choice of hot and cold food.
Our room was clean and spacious and, even though the hotel is next to Lime Street station, there was no noise.
We will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the road rather than the railway.

I was there for a business trip... I had some beverage left in my bag at the arrival so once I was in my room I wanted to refresh it in the mini-bar but I found out the mini-bar had an allarm so you don't use it unless you get something to drink... the included wi-fi wasn't working properly , the promessed business room had all the computers out of service, after my dinner in the city center I decided to stop by the hotel's bar for a drink and I discovered that there was no bar and if I wanted I could buy beer or wine at the reception and bring it in my room where I cannot use the refrigerator... in my room there was no air conditioning and it was possible to open the window only five inches because there was a lock at the handle... unfortunately the room was too hot to possibly sleep so I went at the reception asking to unlock my room... they told me that the window is locked for safety reasons and they werent able to unlock it anymore... ??? come on guys what is going on ? At least the room was clean (but no bidet)

We stayed at the liner for 1 night 5th july, 2014. The room was on the top floor(6th) , it was very clean, had tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and biscuits. We found the bed and pillows very comfortable.
The bathroom, again was very clean with shampoo, shower gel and handsoap.
The only negative, as other people have mentioned in their reviews is that the room was unbearably hot. When we arrived the windows to all of the hotel rooms were open and even with the fan on (provided in room) made little difference to the temperature.

Breakfast was extremely good, continental e.g. meats, cheeses, rolls, pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, jams, full english - bacon, sausage, black pudding , fried/scrambled eggs, tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, hash browns, toast, tea, coffee, juices.

The hotel was ideally placed for us as it was only a short walk to Albert dock, bars and clubs, where we had a really good day/night.

I do think that the £117 we paid for a double room for 1 night was a little overpriced and would probably try and find a hotel in the same area for less if possible.

kind regards
Baslady

Dear Baslady,
Thank you for taking the time to reflect on your recent stay at The Liner Hotel. We appreciate your kind comments regarding our facilities and service we offered during your time with us. We appreciate your feedback regarding the heat in the room, we are pleased that the fan we provided offered some relief during the hot weather. On a weekend our rates are priced higher in comparison to mid week rates due to the demand in the city, we do keep our prices in line and often slightly below the competitors. We hope that we can welcome you back to the hotel on your next trip to Liverpool.
Kind regards,
The Liner Hotels Management Team
