This is not an essential experience. The Beatles Story at times seems like a waste of space, and whilst it houses a number of interesting items of memorabilia, it must be said that if you're a real Beatles fan then there's no need whatsoever to visit The Beatles Story. With The Cavern Club, Penny Lane, Casbah Club, Strawberry Field, etc, just a cab ride away, why visit re-enactments that seem a world away from the real thing ?
Very much a commercial venture that would no doubt appeal to people who want to skim the surface of the story of the band in a few hours. Visits to the actual sights are essential because The Beatles Story leaves out a number of details and of course atmosphere. This left us feeling rather cold, but each to their own.
