This is not an essential experience. The Beatles Story at times seems like a waste of space, and whilst it houses a number of interesting items of memorabilia, it must be said that if you're a real Beatles fan then there's no need whatsoever to visit The Beatles Story. With The Cavern Club, Penny Lane, Casbah Club, Strawberry Field, etc, just a cab ride away, why visit re-enactments that seem a world away from the real thing ?

Very much a commercial venture that would no doubt appeal to people who want to skim the surface of the story of the band in a few hours. Visits to the actual sights are essential because The Beatles Story leaves out a number of details and of course atmosphere. This left us feeling rather cold, but each to their own.

Whilst staying in Liverpool i was very excited to go and see the Beatles museum as i am a big fan. I was shocked to find when i got there that for me and my partner to go around the museum it would cost almost £30. I suppose in Liverpool we were spoilt by all the lovely, free museums but i think that £30 is far to expensive.

Great trip - fun, informative and good use of time. Great to see Liverpool's best being celebrated and the exhibition was really good and the audio accompaniment was excellent. Recommend the Beatles Story part one and two (with the Elvis bit!)

Loved the Beatles when younger in the 60's and lived thru it all with them, saw them on the Liverpool Empire twice in 64/65 and enjoyed this story. Well set out and well presented and great for anyone who wants to know further about The Beatles.
Pity the 4D experience is up at the Pier Head as was very cold damp and raining hard so we could not go and get full benefit of this. Also rather a long walk if you are not that fit on your feet.
It was rather expensive just for the Story in the Albert dock but would recommend worth a visit.

Everything you ever wanted (and didn't want) to know about the Beatles. Lots to see but can be frustrating waiting behind others to move through the exhibits
