There us lots to see, good write ups, comprehensive commentary. A good trip down memory Lane for Beatles fans. At times the music system was so loud it was difficult to hear the commentary, even with the volume on loud. Overall worth doing while in Liverpool.

I loved this museum, dedicated to my favorite group. The best were the Beatles quotes and John Lennon's white piano. The museum itself is not that big, but interesting. After the visit go to the Cavern street to have complete overview :-).

The Beatles Story is a great introduction to the lives of the Fab Four. You can't come to Liverpool and not visit this! The price was good, and included an audio tour. The location at Albert Dock makes for a fun day of exploring that historic area.
As for the "Story", the layout was brilliant, showcasing their lives, with each room of the exhibit being laid out creatively (stepping through the Cavern Club, Recording Studio, Yellow Submarine etc.) and really added to the excitement of working through the Beatles Story. My only personal disappointment was the lack of exhibits such as guitars, letters, etc. While there were some great pieces on show, I was expecting a few more, but that's just my personal preference for museums like this.
Overall, a definite must-see for any music lover in Liverpool.

How can you come to Liverpool and not do something "Beatles?" The Beatles Story is well put together, multimedia chronological docutainment. While by necessity, much of what's on exhibit are reproductions of the originals, it does give you a real sense of the transition of four working class Liverpool lads from Skittles band, to Beatlemania to world-wide cultural behemoths.

The Beatles are such a key part of Liverpool's history, I don't think any visit to the city is complete without paying tribute to them, and The Beatles Story does this exceptionally well. I am a huge Beatles fan, but my husband and son (age 20) are not particularly, but we all loved this museum/experience. The focus is mainly on the early days, and about how the band were created, although there are plenty of exhibits related to the later years, and about their individual careers post-Beatles. The audio guide is very informative, although much of the information is repeated in the written displays. The best aspect of the visit is the large-scale recreations, eg of the Casbah, the Cavern, NEMS and John's white room- all very atmospheric.

We spent approx. two and a half hours here, but we did look at every single artefact! It's probably possible to do it justice in an hour and a half. One mistake we made was to buy a ticket that included the 4-D experience - don't bother with this - it's a cheesy ten minute animated film that has nothing to do with the Beatles and it's a good 10 minute walk to the Pier Head. It might be worth going to if you are passing, or going to the Elvis exhibition, but not worth a special journey.

Also - final tip - it's worth buying tickets in advance on line to avoid some of the queuing.
