“Impromptu night away at this superb new hotel”
Reviewed 31 July 2011

Booked for an opening offer with Hotel Indigo in order to go down to the Pier Head to see the Macula Spectacular. Really well positioned for the sights of Liverpool. Bed was so so comfortable could've stayed there all day! Liked the touch of the included wi-fi and mini-bar (although there was no bottle-opener in the room they brought one up immediately and apologised) which contained high quality branded goods including Divine chocolate and Tyrell's crisps - yum. We were very early for breakfast so had to wait a few minutes as on a Sunday breakfast doesn't start too early. When it did start the content was very good range and tasty. Staff are very efficient and keen to help.

Room Tip: The room which view the front seem to be smaller (ours was over the car park) the room may be larger...

Lovely new boutiquie hotel in Chapel St, unfortunately no parking had to park in nearby multi-storey costing £12/ 24hrs.Rooms were very tastefully decorated though on the small side.Staff were all very helpful, booked with Travelzoo who unfortunately didnt advise us we had to book a table at the Marco-Pierre restaurant though it was included in the price so only available time was 18.00hrs.Food was excellent, the buffet breakfast was also really good.

Couldnt really fault it, great deal.

The hotel opened three months ago and you can tell - the service is not as slick as expected, there seemed to be problems with other customers and we had issues from the start - check in was slow, we had to wait until 3.45 to be allocated a room (check in was at 3pm) - staff on front desk were not overly welcoming.

We had booked a meal with our package, only to be told when we checked in that the restaurant was fully booked - not very impressed. The only options were 6pm or 9.30pm.

Good points - Decent location, 5 minute walk to city centre and shops, fashionable looking hotel, well decorated rooms with good bathroom and brilliant power shower.

Beds were a double - not a king size - bit of a suprise as this seems to be standard in 4/5 star hotels.

Breakfast was great - full english buffet style.

Decent but not up to 4 star scratch yet - hopefully these things will change when the hotel has been up and running longer. Doubt would stay again - would probably try elsewhere if in Liverpool again.

We have just returned from a delightful stay in the recently opened Hotel Indigo in Liverpool. The hotel is sited in the centre of the business district of the city and just minutes walk away from Liverpool One and the main shopping areas of Lord St and Church St. The Liver Building and the Waterfront are both just a few minutes walk from the hotel.
We parked our car in the Capital Car Park which is secure 24 hours a day and just two hundred yards from the hotel. Hotel reception advised that a discounted parking rate should be available shortly for guests who use this car park. Rumford St Car Park is opposite to the hotel although this is a Pay & Display Car Park on open ground and therefore not secure.
The hotel is an ultra modern boutique hotel with 151 bedrooms and our bedroom was well furnished and very comfortable. The bathroom also had a walk-in shower. A safe and complimentary mini bar was housed in the wardrobe space.
Complimentary WiFi is also available throughout the hotel.
We enjoyed an excellent meal in the Marco Pierre White restaurant in the hotel . Breakfast is also served in the restaurant and a good selection was also available.
The Cotton Lounge is an all day cafe in the hotel serving snacks & drinks.
We also found a well equipped fitness studio on the first floor of the hotel.
After returning from looking around the shops in the city centre we were pleasantly surprised to find that a tray of chocolate covered strawberries had been delivered to our room. This really exceeded our expectations and put the icing on the cake for our stay.
We found all the staff at the hotel to be extremely friendly and helpful and Laura on reception was a star.
We have stayed before at the excellent Hotel Indigo in Glasgow and this hotel meets the same exacting standards. This is a very good boutique hotel which we would most definitely want to return to in the future.

Love dining out, this hotel was recomended to me, excellent food, staff very friendly and helpful. 2 young staff members in the resturant were very polite, one of them named Lauren, said she works saturdays, and will be returning back to 6th form for her A levels. 'Good Luck Lauren' WELL DONE HOTEL INDIGO.

We stayed at Hotel Indigo for two nights on a Travelzoo deal which was an excellent offer and exceptional value for money. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful, particularly Alastair, the manager and Chloe and Tom in the restaurant where we ate both nights. The food and service were very good although the set dinner menu was very similar on both nights. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the produce good quality.

The rooms, whilst compact, had everything we needed and more and the contents of the room fridge (thankfully silent) were included in the offer and replenished daily.

The only negative was the lack of parking, especially for unloading. However, there was a secure car park round the corner at £12 for a 24 hour stay.

We had booked the Indigo hotel for one night through Travelzoo.
Part of it's soft opening, which was fantastic value.
We arrived early & were accomdated right away.
The rooms are very modern with design feature wallpaper.
We had a two course meal in the signature restaurant 'Marco Pierre White',
which was beautiful.
Breakfast was included, eat as much or as little as we like, was the instruction
from Tim, the breakfast supervisor ( i hope that's his job title!)
So, needless to say i ate very well on sunday morning. Able to return to bed as late
checkout was included in our fantastic deal.
All the staff were welcoming, from we arrived at reception to we left on sunday evening.
This is a great hotel in a very friendly city, You must go & give them a visit.
Brendan
