Stayed at this hotel for our 2nd anniversary, arrived early but lady at reception was very helpful and found us a room that was ready. Was given 2 free drinks as it was a special occasion. Room was clean and bright as you would expect from colour scheme. It has all you need in a room and the free mini bar was an added bonus. Excellent location for both sightseeing and nightlife. The breakfast was wonderful with as much as you could want both hot and cold. Would stay here again.

Stayed with a friend for two nights for sightseeing and relaxation. The hotel was welcoming and friendly with a nice clean room and comfy beds. Products were of a nice quality and shower cubicle was fitted with a good overhead shower as well as a separate low shower (would be useful for small children).
The only minor point was that there was only one complimentary snack in room for two people but that was just me being greedy!
The location was very handy for the dock area and we traveled by train from Birmingham to Lime street . it was a ten minute walk from the station which is quite do able for two seniors.
We stayed Sunday and Monday nights and the hotel kept our cases until we went back to the train station on Tuesday evening to enable us to have an extra day sightseeing.
Very enjoyable stay.
Thank you

Arrived quite early in the morning around 11am looking a bit worse for wear with lots of camping gear in tow, we had a lovely lady see to us at reception and checked us into our room even though we had arrived well before check in time. We were so pleased to be able to leave our bags in our room to go out and refresh before going out for the day. She even informed us that the drinks and snacks in the room were free of charge which is a lovely touch to a hotel! We also asked about a taxi in the morning to take us to the coach station as we couldnt cope walking with the amount of bags we had and she was more thanhappy to book us a taxi and arrange a wake up call so we didnt miss our coach the next day! The room was very modern and tastefully designed with an iron, ironing board and hairdryer as expected. Overall a wondeful stay and would stay here again.

I stayed at the Indigo in Liverpool for the third time for two nights in July, and I am pleased to report that it is as good as I remember. The staff at the hotel are helpful, courteous and friendly. The rooms are well appointed, stylish and have lots of little touches which make your stay enjoyable, such as Aveda products in the bathroom, a free mini bar of soft drinks and snacks, a professional quality hair dryer (and a plug socket next to the mirror - something that so many hotels forget). I ate at the restaurant on the first night, which was excellent and breakfast was well organised with lots of choices, including dairy and gluten free options on request. There are plenty of good hotels in Liverpool, but I would not consider staying elsewhere when visiting Liverpool.

Room Tip: The restaurant can be quite lively at weekends, so if the noise is likely to bother you, ask for a r...

Booked a Saturday & Sunday night surprise break for my wife's 40th birthday. We were both suitably impressed. Very warm welcome received from the reception staff after a 10/15min walk from Lime Street station. The hotel were already informed it was a birthday surprise break & offered us a complimentary drinks & snacks voucher, which was redeemed from the hotel bar. On arrival to our room on the 3rd floor we were greeted to a large, unique, clean & boutique style space. A 40th birthday balloon decorated the room attached to another complimentary drinks voucher.....this time for 2 glasses of champagne! The complimentary mini-bar was a lovely touch also, with red & white wine, bottles of lager, diet coke, tube of jelly beans, crisps, kitkat & bottled water. Usual tea & coffee also well stocked.
Ensuite was very clean with soft white towels & robes. Rainfall shower is excellent( you don't want to get out!)
Breakfast on the groundfloor next to reception was spot on. Plentiful supply of hot & cold food.
Used the hotel as a base for sightseeing, nightlife & shopping, ideally located.
We both loved our stress free stay here & will definitely return to this hotel to further explore this great city!
Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Indigo, Liverpool; for making our great stay, a very memorable one, for all the right reasons.

I go several times a year to Liverpool to attend Liverpool games. I have previously stayed at the Crowne Plaza (same hotel group, IHG) and the Adagio (a recent Aparthotel). I arrived late on the Saturday at 8PM, and at first the lady at the reception told me that there was no reservation despite the fact that I had booked (and fully prepaid) the executive double room for 360 Euros. Hopefully I had my paper confirmation with me and it was quickly OK. The lady at the reception explained me well that everything was included in the prepaid fee, minibar, movies, and newspapers. The hotel is nicely located, close to the docks. The room (605, 6th floor) was nice, quiet, clean, well decorated and equipped with a flat screen TV with SkySports (which is especially interesting if you are travelling for football). The minibar included Carlsberg beers, soft drinks and excellent black pepper crisps. All of these were included in the amount prepaid for the executive room. The bathroom was clean though a little small, and included excellent shampoo and soaps. The shower was nice, but as in many recent hotels, there is only a shower and no bathtub. The bed was OK. The safe could be easily operated and is large enough to put your laptop. Unfortunately, the room offered no intersting view (view onto the inner part of the hotel building). Although located close to the elevators, this room was quiet. The breakfast was also included in the prepaid fee. Breakfast was excellent, and will allow you to hold until dinner without any lunch. The breakfast area was really congested on Sunday morning, as it is in every hotel when Liverpool is playing at home. The sport room is really small, the one at the Crowne Plaza is totally superior, with pool, jacuzzi and plenty of machines (but of course this is a sports club also open for non hotel guests). So to summarize my comparison with the Crowne Plaza, the location, breakfast, are similar, the room and TV is better at the Indigo, the sport room is way better at the Crowne plaza, the view is better at the Crowne plaza if you have a room with a view on the Mersey building. The Indigo is more modern and more trendy. The price/quality ratio was, for me, better at the Indigo. So it is a close call between the Indigo and the Crowne Plaza, and probably a matter of personal preferences. I'll definitely return to the Indigo.

Dear guest,

Thankyou for taking the time to leave a detailed review on your stay at Hotel Indigo Liverpool. We are pleased to receive both positive and constructive comments as it means we can try to improve facilities for our guests. I am very sorry to hear that upon arrival, we were unable o locate your reservation, but am glad that this was rectified without too much hassle and I have made sure to speak with the team regarding this.
As you mention, the Crowne Plaza does have a far superior gym, swimming pool and spa area as they cater for non guests also. Our gym is not designed for this same purpose so unfortunately will never be able to compete with their facility. Since our hotels are part of the same group however, we are often able to arrange a deal with them for our guests to use their facilities upon request.
I am very pleased to hear that overall you enjoyed the hotel, the amenities in your room and that breakfast filled you up until lunch! It is also great that despite your preferences, you would still choose to return to us.
We all hope to see you again soon,

Best wishes,

Laura Taylor

We stayed in this nice and affordable hotel for 2 nights. It is located in the business district so is close to many of the sights, but consequently, the area is quiet in the evening. The room was very nice and a good size. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was good quality with a decent variety. If we ever return to Liverpool, we would definitely consider returning to this hotel.
