stopped here on the way to the airport, the room is very basic but clean, my room didn't have a tv but for £25 who's complaining.
The staff could not have been more helpful and breakfast was continental or for an extra charge full English.
the hotel is situated 300 yards from lime st station side entrance where the taxi rank is.

Nothing special. Receptionist was very friendly but the place does look a bit tired. It has clearly suffered from hen/stag/boozy/rowdy parties (I stayed there in the middle of the week). Single room was OK, I was more concerned my the multiple electric plugs loaded on one socket - not very safe. Close to Lime Street Station - excellent for the museums/Walker Art Gallery.

You get what you pay for. This is a budget hotel with a big heart and very friendly people. Perfectly placed for my needs at the central Library. Sure, the room was tiny and there was a labyrinth of corridors to get to it, but, it was clean, the bathroom was the right size and worked great. Not many amenities but a real Liverpool experience. I really enjoyed hanging out at the hotel bar and watching the footie. Its not the best location in town but a safe and interesting environment--walking down past the Empire theater and the little pubs along the way was a nice way to get to the Hotel.

I read the reviews on here before I stayed... I was expecting the worst... THIS HOTEL IS ONE OF THE BEST VALUE HOTELS I HAVE EVER STAYED IN! I had a single room (room 101 ha ha!) The staff were lovely the room was TIDY, CLEAN AND SECURE. The saying is you get what you pay for and this was it, I got the basic essentials because this Hotel is just a base to enjoy Liverpool, if you want fancy five star then stay there dont dis this one for not been five star! :-) If I was a fussy person I would say "the mirror is falling off the wall and I cant see out the frosted glass window" but then I would slap myself for been petty. DEFINATE RETURN FROM ME IF OR WHEN I GO TO LIVERPOOL AGAIN (Lovely city) I have stayed at budget chain hotels that didnt even come close to this. To recap, very basic but clean, tidy, secure, friendly staff and a perfect base if you are in Liverpool (right next to lime street station!) I let the staff know the hotel was one of the best I had visited

Room hadnt been hooverd, Beds damp, the window had been left open i dont know whether this was to hide the smell of damp or to air the beds. The skirting boards filthy and mouldy. The heater on the wall was broken so we were cold all night. In the bathroom there were hairs in the bath and on the toilet roll. Fair enough the room was cheap, but you expect cleanliness, what would it take for the manager to check the rooms before hand. Will not stay again.

This is definitely on of the worst hotel experiences I've ever made. I never ever was in a hotel with rooms as dirty as this. Neither has the room been hoovered prior to my arrival nor has the en-suite bath room been clean. Mould in the shower cabin as well as all around the basin, dirt in every corner, holes in the ceiling surrounded by mould and dirt. Aware of this, my only recommendation is: Stay away from this hotel. I even wouldn't recommend this one for a stag do or hen party.

I stayed in the lord nelson after a match at anfield, i was given a reduced rate of £20 for a single which i don't think u will find anywhere.
The hotel itself is clean an the staff very friendly and helpful the only problems i had was the door to my shared bathroom would not lock an the communal shower didn't have hot water.
I'm disappointed with all the negative comments on here, what do u people expect from cheap hotel in Liverpool??? oysters an champagne on arrival before leading you to your 4 poster bed??
