“Value for money”
Reviewed 14 June 2013

Very reasonable accommodation right on the river front, walking distance to the Albert Dock and city centre. Room and shower area small but clean and tidy. Small bar and restaurant area clean and pleasant over looking the river. Limited menu but very good for the price. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lack of hanging space is an issue when staying a few days. Very reasonably priced

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the river frontage. I would imagine the car park is not so inspiring!

This hotel is nicely located along the water and at a walking distance from the attractions of the city. It is clean, very well managed. The rooms are solmewhat small. The breakfast is excellent for the price. You can have a drink on the terrasse in front of the river. The staff is really pleasant and very helpful.

Room Tip: ask for a room on the waterfront

Stayed overnight at the Dolby and was pleasantly surprised, our room was large with a comfy bed and a lovely bathroom with a good powerful shower. The hotel was easy to find and had lots of car parking spaces, excellent value for money .we will go back.

We stayed with our young son in a family room for five nights and as other reviews mention the rooms are compact but for a base it is great .The staff are caring and professional..
We also found the small restaurant overlooking the water surprisingly good.Though the menu appears to be average their chef Robbie however prepares the food in five star fashion. The food is good quality, tasty, cooked well and the smell is good the presentation was stylish and the portions were generous. It made our trip even better to arrive after a long day with a young person knowing we could enjoy a fabulous and leisurely meal on the premises..The wine list is good too as is the service.

A small, very clean room in a nice little hotel only 15 minutes slow walking from the centre of Liverpool. A large car park and easy to find.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful; the bar stayed open for us.

It is the ideal place for a cheap overnight stay in Liverpool.

Yes, the rooms are small. Yes, the bathrooms are small. But the friendliness of ALL the staff makes you forget all the shortcomings. Free wifi and parking along with easy access to all the city favourites means a sure return. Rooms and public areas are spotless

Stayed here for two nights during the week, the staff initially put us in the wrong room however this was quickly resolved. Very clean, room not the biggest but adequate for a couple of nights, however you will struggle to find a smaller bathroom anywhere in the world! Fantastic location however, 5 minutes from the docks if you are catching a ferry and only 10-15 minutes from the city centre and liverpool one shopping centre (walking).

Room Tip: Make sure you specify a double WITHOUT a bunk bed as they tried to put us in a room with a bunk bed...
