“Excellent value for money ”
Reviewed 3 April 2014 via mobile

Me & my partner stayed here for just the one night & for the money we paid it was excellent value. The staff were exceptionally friendly, restaurant was lovely & the food was fantastic! Beautiful view of the docks too. Free parking & Wifi were also nice little perks. Although the rooms are small (especially the bathrooms) it is more than manageable, the beds were comfy, the room was warm & the free view tele worked fine. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel & would happily stay here again. Me & my partner are relocating to Liverpool in the next month or two & will consider this hotel as a stop for when we come to view properties. Very impressed.

Nice staff and ideally located, the hotel was very clean however there was loads of noise from people walking in the corridor, the en-suite is really small and tight, not ideal for people with a disability or with balance problems.

Room Tip: Wear ear buds as the noise from other residents can be clearly heard in your room.

Obviously a former E-tap hotel in the style of the rooms, the floor could do with a good hoovering is the only dig I've got but all in all cheap rooms, good value restaurant food and drinks, free parking and wifi and with in walking distance to the city centre, what more can you ask for?

We arrived late on the Friday night after landing in Liverpool airport & couldn't wait for sleep! The ladies on reception were brilliant. Check in was quick but with two heavy cases we were disappointed to learn there was no lift so after dragging our cases up two flights of stairs we were greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke wafting down our corridor. The noise was unreal, it was so loud it felt as though the people were standing in our room... With one woman screaming on top of her lungs for about 15mins straight at 4am. So after a patchy sleep we headed for breakfast, my partner had the full & I opted for continental. The menu read 'selection of meats and cheeses' which was basically packet ham and individually wrapped cheese blocks. Disappointed but we wish we'd have gone into the city for breakfast.

The staff are polite se of the time. We stayed at a weekend and on Saturday night at 9 we got a noice complaint and all I was doing was drying my hair! The walls are paper and tiny rooms! The shower floods and the heater dosntwork!

The Dolby hotel is right on the front of Liverpool docks approximately 5-10 minutes walk away from the Albert Dock, Echo arena and the main shopping centre. It is clean, warm, has great, friendly staff and the beds are very comfortable. The night was spoilt by noisy residents talking loudly and waking us up several times, very annoying, so thanks for that. We had no complaints at all regarding the hotel, we had a good stay and would recommend the Dolby if you plan to have a few days in Liverpool. Take advantage of the all day free parking for residents too, very handy.

Me and my partner stayed here when going to Liverpool for his birthday. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Room was simple. But really comfortable bed! Nice location. Would stay again. Only downfall is the bathrooms could do with updating as the shower is really small. But that was the only fault. Thank you for a nice stay.
