Liverpool should be proud to have such an extensive collection of art within the city, particularly in the Walker. A highly educational, interesting and relaxing place to go for an afternoon. I would have liked to see a little more sculpture work though.

I found the magnificent 'When did you last see your father?' Painting here though, I do think it needs rehanging as its so superb and is almost an afterthought as one passes through from one room into the next. Great museum!

Fabulous little museum - I went their chiefly to check out their Pre-Raphaelite and Victorian collection, which is excellent, but I wish I'd had more time to spend there.

Some well-known artists and some lesser known but charming paintings and sculptures. Very hot in some of the rooms on the day we visited- a pity as we couldn't cope with staying too long in them. I loved the Grayson Perry exhibition and it was a real treat to discover that it was all free!

Don't miss this as the tapestries are amazing and the story they tell is so clever. Make sure you read about each one in the free guide and look at what inspired the design
