“Visit both Paul and John's homes with the National Trust”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

The only way to see inside both Paul and John's childhood homes is with the National Trust. The minibus picks you up either from the Jury's Inn near the Albert Dock or from Speke Hall, and the whole trip takes approximately two and a half hours, and was extremely well organized. The minibus is always in the right place at the right time to take you to your next destination, the driver was friendly and helpful and, of course, you listen to Beatles music on the journey.

At each home you are met by an extremely knowledgeable guide - the day we visited we were lucky enough to have a husband and wife team, who knew a great deal about the homes and lives of the Beatles. They were very entertaining with lots of anecdotes and funny stories to share. Because the tour is limited to (I think) 15 people, it's very intimate and personal. The highlight was singing in the porch of John's house to hear the acoustics - amazing to be in the place where John and Paul would rehearse together.

A wonderful experience for any Beatles fan - I can't recommend it highly enough.

“Fantastic for any fan of Paul or The Beatles, a must see!”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We visited Paul's house first on our national trust tour. This is the only tour you can do to see inside their homes. The lady guide was wonderful, so knowledgeable and friendly. She gladly took photos of anyone outside the front of the house. No photography allowed at all inside. Your bags are put into a locked cupboard. There we all were sat in Pauls old front room. We listened to a recorded personal message from Paul of which I felt was quite emotional. It was fantastic to see through the house and it has been thoughtfully restored by the national trust. A very good tour and worth the money, I would recommend it fully.

“Pilgrimage”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

This was a definite must do. So cool to be in Paul's home as a child. Do the trust tour so you can go in the tour. The ladies from the trust that do the tours of Paul and johns home are really good, very knowledgeable.
Be ready to surrender purses and cameras, pics not allowed.

“With National Trust Tour”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

We did this tour through the National Trust and completely enjoyed it. The tour guides are a husband and wife team, one at John's house the other at Paul's. The tour is small. I was able to get the ticket one week before. Very worth the money for a Beatles fan.

You can only visit inside the house on the National Trust tour. You are taken round a brilliant custodian with intimate knowledge. The house has been fantastically well restored.
