Owner description: The Magical Mystery Tour is Liverpool's original Beatles tour which takes you on an entertaining journey to the places where John, Paul, George and Ringo lived, met and hung out as they formed the band that took the pop world by storm. See the places that inspired songs such as Penny Lane and Strawberry Field, stand outside the houses where they lived and enjoy plenty of Fab Four tunes along the way. The tour finishes with a visit to the world famous Cavern Club where The Beatles played 292 times. This is the only tour to give you free general admission to the Cavern after your tour. Private tailor-made tours can also be arranged for your group in the Magical Mystery Tour people-carrier, minibus or coach! Translations of the tour commentary are available in French, German, Italian and Spanish.

This tour really was magical! The guide was so well informed & entertaining, the music on the bus was fantastic, and the locations were inspiring - so cool to actually be on Penny Lane! Highly recommended!

A must do if you are visiting Liverpool. A great tour with a very good driver and a tour guide who is very knowledgeable about the life of The Beatles. Was taken to the houses of George Harrison, Paul McCartney and John Lennon and shown where Ringo Starr lived. Was taken to Penny Lane and Strawberry Field and other places of interest about The Beatles. Well worth the money for a 2 hour tour and as a bonus you get to see some parts of Liverpool you would not see when visiting this wonderful city.

Having arrived in Liverpool we wanted to ensure we did the 'sights', and up there amongst our most important was to see as much as we possibly could of The Beatles. Having done a google search, we soon discovered that there were numerous different companies all promising to do a tour. We asked in our hotel, and at the Tourist Information Office and both pointed us to the 'Magical Mystery Tour'. At £16.95 pp, I initially wondered whether this would be worth the expense, but it seemed comparable to all the other offerings, and really, I need not have worried. Tony was our Tour guide and Ross, our driver. From the very outset this really was THE most wonderful tour we could have ever expected. Tony was incredible - mixing humour with untold amounts of knowledge - it was just amazing how much he knew. Ross was a very good driver and this enabled us to concentrate on the surroundings rather than what was on the road. We were given four opportunities to get off the coach to take photographs and Tony encouraged us all to take photos for one another. I would urge anyone wishing to take a Beatles Tour to book onto his one - at the end you leave feeling that there was really nothing more that you could have been told or shown, and the £16.95 pp was completely and utterly good value for money. Don't waste time with any other tour - book this one. First, first class, especially if you get Tony!

Our guide for the tour was Tony, and he done a brilliant job! Very knowledgable and witty- he narrated everything really well. We loved the whole tour and the places we passed or stopped at were explained and the relevance to the Beatles. Was great to see these legendary landmarks!
We had a brilliant time on the tour and would recommend it to any Beatles fan.
Only criticism (but this is no bearing on the tour itself or the guide whatsoever) would possibly be to allocate seats at time of booking. It didn't happen to us, but there was a few couples/groups could not sit together due to several solo passengers sitting separately. One of 2 of these people were really rude and barged to the front of the queue that had formed outside when Tony and the driver come to the bus. At end of the day solo travellers are always going to sit next to someone they don't know on a full coach so it wouldn't matter if they sat next to each other! Just think it might have spoilt it a little for the people who had come together-I know one American lady was a little disappointed that she was separated from her friend. Tony had made it clear to sit in the same seats after returning to the coach after the stops- so I'm assuming it's probably caused some issues in the past? Allocating people seats together on booking and seating solo passengers together may be an idea? Anyhow the tour is well worth a bash and I'd highly recommend it :-)
