I really enjoy Thia food, but I am usually disappointed by the bland offerings in UK which fall short of the real thing we have experienced in Thailand, and in Bangkok in particular. The meal we had last week in Chaba Chaba was as close to a genuine authentic Thai meal as I can remember in outside of Thailand
The mixed platters we had for starters were really well prepared and presented, and they tased great. Plenty of spicy heat and flavour and fresh tasting. We had a range of mains including soft shell crab, crispy sea bass, and a couple of curries. They were all excellent. We also had a couple of vegetable sides, morning glory and som tam salad. The salad in particular was top notch and really evocative of the spicy versions we have eaten in central Bangkok.
The service all night was great. The staff were lovely, in particular the young waiter who was trying so hard to please! A bit too much at times but you can't knock a trier!
All in all we had a great night out and will definitely go back .
