This is a wonderful collection about Liverpool and it's history. Gives you enough info to feel informed and interested without being bored. Lots of things to look at and do. Sure to bring back memories. It is really fantastic. And it's free!!!! Location at Albert Dock means you can combine a visit here with other things too.

Free, and great summary for Liverpool life and influences! So much music I could not believe how many artists came from Liverpool. It also described Liverpool from early settlements to current day. With different shows on. Great for young and old alike. There is wheelchair access.

A morning is not enough for this museum. I'm going to come back to really enjoy the depth of the exhibits. It's worth seeing the overhead railway alone. Very cleverly set up across two floors to represent the hight of this railway and the dockers umbrella. I enjoyed the Beatles story and film about racial division. The story about Chinese seaman who disappeared is shocking. Well done liverpool a great museum and very friendly staff.

I love the way when you go round the ground floor bit about our great port, you look up and see the overhead railway. When you go to the next floor you can actually sit in the carriage. For music and sport enthusiasts there is some interesting exhibits. Throughout there are plenty of interactive things that children get hands on with. If you are looking for things to do at half term, especially with the rain predicted, is well worth the visit.

Big, spacious and modern layout. Interactive elements abound. You could happily spend a half day here or even a whole day with kids.
