“A Fab place to stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 November 2012

We stayed in the guest house on Sat 13th Oct 2012 as my girlfriend is a huge Beatles fan and we were going for a meal to celebrate her birthday. We met Paul on arrival, he was extremely friendly and easy to talk to and took time to explain how everything operated in the room and at breakfast time. I explained to Paul the reason why we had chosen to stay at the guest house and he kindly gave me a copy of John Lennon's birth certificate to pass to my girlfriend for her birthday. This kind gesture was very much appreciated. The room was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and spacious. Paul was kind enough to book a taxi for us as we were travelling to Lark Lane for a meal and it arrived very promptly. The breakfasts were very fantastic with a wide variety available. The service was excellent very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the guest house to anyone if they are looking to stay somewhere that is outside the city centre and at an affordable price.

Just back from a night stay with 3 of my mates and you can imagine when 4 guys appear at the reception usually they think straight away oh no! this wasnt the case at the west farm. I never review anywhere but i was overwhelmed with the service and hospitality of this excellent place.
Just had to write how much we were made to feel as welcome as you are at a family member's house. Paul is a star not only was the breakfast brilliant but on the day we were leaving he made us all a packed lunch for the 4 hour journey back to glasgow.
This doesn't happen often so this makes me want to go back again.
The guest house is just round the corner from Paul McCartney's childhood home and a mile from John Lennon's which are a must see.
So if you are wanting a guest house that goes the extra mile and is better than most hotels for hospitality I would thoroughly recommend here.

We visited the guest house in October. The rooms are nice and clean with really comfortable beds and a nice big bathroom. The service is absolutely fantastic as they cant do enough for you. Would certainly recommend it.

We stayed a Saturday night here to attend a wedding having been unable to get a room in the city centre. The hotel was really well maintained, our room was spacious and the breakfast was great.it was easy to travel into the city centre (we went by train). Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, we were made a pot of tea at midnight when we got in! Would definitely recommend it, we were glad we had stayed here instead of at an anonymous chain hotel in the centre.

My friend and I ended up here as a result of our reservation at the Holiday Inn at Lime Street not going ahead due to a company called Atlas Choice. If you ever come across this company do not book through them as we have paid and not had our reservation satisfied. I have also read reviews on the company and it looks as if this is not a standalone problem. Anyway, back to the review of this place. We tried to find availability somewhere at 9.30pm on a Saturday night after being let down and almost everywhere was booked apart from here which seemed to have vacancies. We were in no position to be fussy so although it was a slight concern that everywhere else was booked up we checked in here. We arrived and parked our car in the onsite free parking. We were greeted by friendly staff who straight away asked if they could offer us a beer which we accepted greatfully. We also told them we would be going to the match the following day but now were not sure of the best way of getting there. They printed out maps and told us which train and where to get the soccerbus etc which came in very useful. By this point it was around 11pm and they offered us a sandwich if we were hungry which we was but decided to head into town and get a chinese. They ordered us a taxi for this and another beer while we waited. They also took our breakfast order for the following morning and at what time we would like it. It was delicious and perfectly cooked. It cost us £8 for a taxi into the centre at chinatown. It cost us £13 for the return taxi back at 3am from Mathew Street. The room was comfortable and had tv with freeview and drawers for clothes. There was no wardrobe though and the shower was not very powerful but these would be the only negatives but did not affect us. I can recommend this place as a comfortable friendly place to stay with lovely breakfast.

What a great place to stay in Liverpool!!!
I visit Liverpool a lot as I have family there and we have stayed in lots of hotels/lodgers, but West Farm was far the best. It was local to where I wanted to be, right at the top of my family's road......
Paul was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble...The breakfast was excellent even cooking egg whites for my fussy children. The breakfast was so big we cant finish it.... (And we were asked what time we would like to have it served )
Spacious accommodation great garden lovely and clean. I will be booking this place next time I visit Liverpool.

We were in Liverpool for three days, and wanted accommodation in the south of the city to attend a family get together. West Farm Guest House was ideally situated for us, and was easy to get to, when coming into the city from the M6 Motorway using Speke Boulevard to approach the city.
Paul, the owner, was excellent, nothing was too much trouble. We ate in one night, and the evening three course meal was superb (four if you count the coffee served in the lounge). Breakfast and there was plenty of everything; the morning after the family get together Paul served a later breakfast for us, and it was appreciated.
The room was spacious and clean.
