Strange place! We arrived and greeted by people who barely spoke English, we asked to check in but not sure they understood, as thy did not check us in. It felt awkward and we weren't introduced to a dog that was trotting around. Luckily no one was allergic. Warren appeared shortly after, and we were given our room. Breakfast was terrible, we weren't asked what we would like or how we wanted our eggs cooking or anything it was all very random, people got given different things, and the egg whites were yellow with grease, not everyone's breakfasts were hot. The second morning we did not eat the breakfast at all because the 1st was so bad. Not all rooms have their own bathroom. The showers ran hot and cold with very low pressure. Wallpaper very tatty where people have scuffed it and spilled drinks. Broken fire door on top landing which, being the hotel health and safety auditor for a travel company, made me uncomfortable. The rooms have to be unlocked with a key from the inside to exit, which if there was a fire is not good! The member of staff that stayed though the evening and night spoke very little English, despite him trying his best it was hard to communicate. There were other little details too which made the group feel uneasy. Not the amazing boutique hotel it makes out.. However i'd like to be fair by saying the good bits were the wood burner in the lounge, the nice outdoor space at the back and the bathrooms and beds were clean. There was also a blind over the skylight so we weren't woken up by the light early in the morning.

Stayed here in a group of 21 from Ireland for a stag and had a great time. Warren couldn't have done any more for us from going to the off licence for us when we first arrived to arranging our lifts to the airport when we left (including a lift from Warren's dad - thanks for that!).

Only a short taxi ride from the city and very close to the football stadiums, when you stay here you get your own bar that you can stock yourself with big screen TV and Sky Sports, you've also got a night club downstairs!!

All in all a great weekend and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone going on a trip to Liverpool, especially larger groups or if your looking to go to a match.

Myself and 11 friends from Scotland came to Liverpool for the weekend and could not have been happier with the Anfield hotel. Warren couldn't do enough for us, nothing was to much for him "Top guy". The rooms were fantastic (especially the party room downstairs) they were clean and spacious. Great location, only 10mins in a taxi and a minutes walk from Anfield stadium! All in all a fantastic place to stay with a fantastic host, we will certainly be back soon!! Thanks again Warren!!

Just back from a birthday weekend with 15 other girls and had a brilliant time. Warren was so helpful and could t have done more. When we arrived we were should of plugs and asked if he had any extension leads and within the hour he had gone and bought some. Same with pillows. Location is a 10min cab to town centre but that wasn't a prob at all. One or two things could be improved on but nothing major and nothing that would put me off going again. Thanks warren we had a great time x
