Firstly after my experience i cannot believe that some of the positive reviews on here are genuine. Stayed at the Anfield for a hen do and although the perfect venue to cater for hen parties the customer service was the worst and strangest I ever experienced. We were promised a BBQ on day of arrivial but on the day Warren the manager/owner decided he couldn't be bothered and we had to make other arrangements and when one of us expressed our dissatisfaction and disappointed Warren retaliated with an aggressive and unprofessional manner with no apology! The staff spoke little English and didn't have a clue and the male one acted more like a door bouncer and a spy and was very creepy and made us feel uncomfortable. The manager warren acted more like a wanna be gangster using threats and aggressive behaviour against us for no reason. This guy has no clue about customer service or hospitality and his priority is to get his money and then don't give a damn about the rest of the stay. In addition on out travels around Liverpool we heard other bad stories and many people warning us to be careful due to hotels reputation. I will never stay here ever again and hope no other ladies have the misfortune of doing so either. The rest of Liverpool was wonderful and so were the people just the hotel let us down.

hang on rich - don't comment on what you know little about. No-one is disputing the excellent hospitality of the manager and his wife. Warren was a brilliant host and some of us had already said we would definitely be planning to go back. The disappointment was when we were out in town at 1.30am to be informed 3men were in a room that one of our party had all her belongings in. That in itself was worrying, not knowing what had happened and if anything was missing!
If Warren had addressed this the following morning and explained what had happened, I think this could have been easily sorted. However the lack of appearance of anyone led to the ill-feeling and the group being disappointed. The 3 men who were in the room were very nice but we didn't know that at the time. I for one AM going back - I am not a moaner - but fair play, I don't want my belongings moved when I am not there. I do not expect anything free, like your toast and vodka, I just expect in a hotel, my belongings can be left in MY room that I have paid for. I agree with other comments that Warren and staff cannot do enough for you and that is lovely. It is a brilliant place for a large group of friends to get together and we did feel safe with constant security there. Please don't judge us because your stay was faultless - you weren't moved out your room.
Not all females are moaners so speak for yourself.

Booked this last minute and couldn't believe my luck with the location so close to anfield stadium and the price was very reasonable considering we stayed on the biggest football match day of the season so far!

Very surprised at some of the negative feedback although it is likely to be awkward customers (you know the ones that pay and think they should be given the world)!

The owner Warren was a top bloke very friendly and such a laugh too. Made me feel right at home and the morning after we all sat around the lounge and it was more like being round a friends than in a hotel which I found very unique, we all even got free toast not to mention the bottle of vodka he left out for us all the night before!

All in all a great time was had and I met some really nice people while staying at hotel anfield so I would recommend it, but not to females as the moan too much :)

Firstly I would class more as a house than a hotel. We arrived on the Friday afternoon as a group of 27 for a hen do. The weekend kicked off to a great start, drinks on arrival and the staff could not do enough for you. Warren was great at arranging Taxis for everyone on both the Friday and Saturday evening. Warren, and his wife who did the girls makeup for an extra charge all afternoon on the Saturday seemed very friendly and as though they were at your disposal. The communal area is great for getting together a party, modern and clean. Beds were comfy but some rooms did smell of damp, there were no mattress protectors with some stains on the beds and the power pressure on the shower was too weak. We went out for a fantastic night out in Liverpool on the sat night and come home to find a group of men had been put in to one of the rooms that we were using. We found out from the booking confirmation that the men had booked up weeks before although we were under the impression that we had the 'hotel' to ourselves. Luckily for us the men were respectful. This was upsetting and frustrating for some of the girls as belongings were moved by staff to another room without being asked. The following day Warren did not acknowledge any of the girls and there were no staff to assist us leaving. The situation was handled appallingly. We had a fantastic weekend but in the end we were all let down.

We arrived to a fab reception greeted by warren rooms were lovely we settled in bags were taken to rooms and the weekend began. On an evening warren left and left in charge a person who I think understood more than he let on. Saturday got off to a great start shopping in Liverpool then back for BBQ. Warren had organised for a singer and the party began we were charged £8.00 for BBQ and to be fair it was lovely but not enough food was provided and no refund offered for the girls who ended up with nothing to eat. We headed off to Liverpool to get the party underway.....2 girls returned earlier than the rest of us to be told there had been a unforeseen circumstance and they had let a room out to 3 men ( a room for which we had paid for but 3 girls could not make it last minute) after much deliberation the men showed us their confirmation of which they had had for 3 WEEKS the men also annoyed as had put them in a very uncomfortable situation with a house full of young girls..... After contacting warren at 2 in morning to be told he had authorised this we were very annoyed. Especially as clothes and belongings had been moved from that room as one if the girls were staying there. Warren chose NOT to turn up on Sunday till we were just about to leave and NEVER EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED US .he was the perfect host until he had our money. He had all day to tell us people were coming in BUT. CHOSE NOT TO Just watch out if you book this as he double books regularly

Room Tip: Top of house

When we arrived on Friday and were greeted by warren and made to feel welcome. We were shown to our rooms which we were disappointed with, they smelt of damp, were unfinished, unclean and had stained mattresses and bedding. However the staff were very friendly and helpful (untill they had gotten all of the money they could out if you). On a night time you are left with a man who can speak very little English but did try his best. I was part of a hen party and had booked and paid for ALL rooms in the hotel. On the Saturday morning we were served breakfast which was cold and consisted of and sausage, a rasher of bacon, a tea spoon of beans, tomatoes and scrambled egg. There was also a slice of bread which I think some one had attempted to toast (not worth the money). There was also a pug puppy running around which was cute but not ideal when one of the members of the hen party had an allergy.

We decided to have a chilled day on the Saturday with a visit to the shops and back for a BBQ. Warren had also arranged for his wife and daughter to do do our hair and make up for those who wanted it at an extra cost. The BBQ food was nice and cost £8 each but there was not enough to go around us all leaving some people only able to have half a burger and a spoonful if pasta. However we looked beyond this as the hair and make up was good. We when into Liverpool on the night time and 2 people retuned back to the hotel to find her stuff had been moved out of her room by a member of staff and 3 men had moved in as they had double booked. When we challenged this the staff member got very irrate so we tried to contact warren to resolve this. Warren said it was tough he had authorised this and hung up. The next day none of the staff even showed there face let alone spoke to us. I'm glad we didn't have to spend another night there. Just be careful when booking with hotel!!! And if you like clean rooms do not book !!
