Stayed here for a wedding for 2 nights 3 weeks ago! When I arrived I realised I had packed the wrong shirt! Warren the owner wouldn't let me get a taxi and drove me to a shop to buy a shirt then dropped me at the venue for the wedding. The room was good and very good value for money! There was a BBQ the day after the wedding the food and service was excellent! Will definitely be back

I visited the Anfield Hotel when passing through Liverpool on my way to Cambridge. It is a stylish and welcoming hotel with a relaxed atmosphere and lovely, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us, we were certainly looked after! It felt a bit like being at a friends house, where we were told to make ourselves at home. We were offered a drink on arrival, welcomed like old friends and invited to sit in the comfy outside area. Our room was comfortable, clean and provided a relaxing space to come back to. It is a beautiful old building with lots of character and has been done up to a high standard. I would definately go back, infact I look forward to visiting again soon! Thank you to everyone at the Anfield Hotel.

From the moment I contacted Warren to try find a venue for a BBQ the day after our wedding the guy couldn't do enough for us. The price I was quoted for food and drinks for 30 people was unbeatable and by no means was the quality of food or service reflective of the competitive prices. Enough about money though because Warren and Kelly couldn't do enough for us , my sister and her friends stayed here the night of the BBQ and ended up staying an extra night because they loved the place and Warren organised them VIP entry to a top bar in town. He wasn't happy unless everyone else was happy. When he found out myself and my new bride were supposed to be going home to our own house before heading on honeymoon he wouldn't have it and gave us a complimentary room as his wedding gift to us plus a lovely bottle of champagne on ice. Warren you made a memorable day into a memorable weekend and for that myself and my new wife thank you.

My first visit to Liverpool was made extra special by my stay at Hotel Anfield. Felt like a home from home and staff go out of their way to accommodate you and ensure you have a very enjoyable stay. Our room was lovely, very clean done in black and white decor a theme that is continued in the lounge area and bar. My favourite part of hotel has to be the private garden overlooking Stanley park great for relaxing in after visiting the sites of Liverpool.Staff excellent, service with a genuine smile, made my holiday more memorable. Will definitely check in here when I visit the "Pool" again.

We stayed here for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Hotel was lovely and spotlessly clean, our room was fab and over looked the 'famous' Stanley Park which was a nice little touch! All the staff where so lovely and all fell over themselves making sure our stay was perfect.

I highly recommend this hotel to everyone, we've already booked again for the hubby's birthday in Oct.

Room Tip: Our room looked over the park and gardens at the back of the house.

Stayed at Hotel Anfield for two nights the weekend of my brothers wedding where we couldnt have felt more welcomed and accommodated by the staff from the moment we arrived. Myself and three of the girls all stayed there for the weekend, we had a four bed room on the first floor which was so clean and beds were super comfortable. The hotel itself its a boutique hotel which is beautifully decorated in a comtempory black and white. A BBQ was put on for all the guests post wedding where we received a great deal for all food and drink for the day. It was a great value for money and lets just say we drank the place dry. :) The BBQ was perfect in a place like this as it has a beautiful terrace and garden at the back of the hotel. What makes this hotel is the staff as its a family run business. We had the pleasure to meet the owner Warren and his wife Kelly who looked after us the day of the BBQ so much so that we didnt even leave the hotel that night. We stayed and had the craic with them. Warren couldnt be more accommodating when it comes to any requests you may have.....from booking a table for your party at any bar in the city for you, organising a hairdresser to come to the hotel or providing a taxi service to and from the hotel. I would definitely reccomend this to anyone heading on a girls or lads weekend. Its a two minute walk from there to Anfield stadium so would be perfect for match weekends and its less than ten minutes in a taxi. Will definetly be back again when Im next in Liverpool xxx

I attended my sisters Hen party in a group of 19 for a weekend from 15-18 August and from the moment we arrived we had several complaints:
- None of the cutlery or utensils were clean, we were continuously washing everything up before we used them. I don't think the Hotel had been cleaned from the last guests.
- Several people didn't have hot showers in the shared bathroom all weekend.
- One of our party took off their duvet cover to reveal a blood stained duvet!
- The basement bedroom was cold, the room damp and the bathroom door broken which Warren (owner) was aware of when it was pointed out to him.
- Not enough toilet roll provided for our guests.
- The television in the lounge only worked for one day, we wanted to watch the football match on Sunday but although Warren offered to fix it on the Sunday he never returned to complete the task.
- Upon arrival were quite a few rooms with dirty mugs/glasses left in there from previous guests.
- There is no hot water in the kitchen, in order to wash up you use the hot water in the bathroom!
On Sunday morning the day of the Liverpool match we woke up to people opening the car park gate to the Hotel and parking in the driveway. After asking Warren about this it emerged this was a regular arrangement which he had failed to inform my sister about. He also arranged for a Architect to give a quote on a games room on a Sunday morning, we were in our night wear relaxing when they arrived out of the blue.
Although we voiced our complaints to the Warren instead of being helpful he threatened to throw us out with an hour to pack as he claimed two of our guests had been aggressive to him.
We managed to calm him down but the way he threw down his keys to the floor informed us it was his house and we hadn't spoken to him like a human being.
Although some rooms were adequate we went for a self catering weekend and lots of improvising had to become by our cooks for the weekend. For example mince meat had to be cooked in the oven.
We didn't let the faults of this Hotel ruin this weekend but don't believe the website which shows the nice rooms. I wouldn't return here ever due to poor customer service and arriving to a very dirty hotel which you don't expect after paying £65 per night! Your better off in the Travel Lodge which is where I usually stay in Liverpool.

Room Tip: Go for a room on the top floor if you do stay here as all the showers work on this floor.
