This was a case of all style over substance - we may not be the target audience for this part of the Radisson brand - butt the room was small and the food worse than average. We are fans of Radisson Blu hotels - but this was not a good experience at all.

We stayed at the hotel on a Friday night and chose it mainly for its fantastic location!

Although the hotel is almost adjoined to Lime Street station, aside from low rumbles from time to time there really is no impact from the passing trains and commuters.

We stayed in room 521 on the fifth floor which had a fantastic view of St George’s Hall and the Christmas markets.

The room was spotless and very well decorated, the bathroom was a great size and the water pressure was great in the shower. The actual room itself did feel a little cramped where the bed is, like other reviews, we did find it a little bit of a squeeze to get ready but for only one night, it didn’t negatively impact our stay.
We did struggle with the blind in the bedroom, it would not move up or down but we didn’t discover this until very late in the evening when we go back into the room so we didn’t speak to reception about this due to the time and us tired enough.

We had a drink in the bar which had a really great atmosphere and a great drinks selection. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly, chatty and welcoming.

We would definitely stay here again.

Very pleasant stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our 2 rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean, location excellent, noon check out and breakfast was good. Very handy for The Empire Theatre and shops.

Liverpool is an underrated city, plenty of sights to visit. This trip, we toured the Liver Building, had a 50 minute cruise on the Mersey & sampled the food & drink at the Christmas Market. Sightseeing completed, we did a bit of Christmas shopping. All done in easy walking distance from our hotel by Lime Street Station, bathed in Autumn sunshine!

The customer service from Tom, Darren and Jonathan on reception was outstanding! Darren was very welcoming on check-in, and Tom and Jonathan were extremely helpful with some questions we had.

The location being adjacent to Lime Street station was perfect for an overnight guest travelling by train, and meant I could have a longer snooze in the next morning before heading home which was needed after a night on the town :)

The only downside was I felt the room could have been cleaner. Whilst the main surfaces and items were clean, there was a LOT of dust gathered all along the edges of the rug. Either remove the rugs or ensure they are cleaned better. Otherwise I couldn’t fault it.
