Friendly (though that's default for anywhere in Liverpool).
Accommodating to custom orders.
Food - Had the full english. Pretty average with no saving grace. Coffee pretty weak. Can't comment otherwise on what looked like a menu with plenty of choice on Anglo/American classics.
Service - slow, inattentive and clumsy on a relatively quiet Sunday afternoon. Had to ask for milk, toast & cutlery. Struggled to just get on with trying the food!
Keep it simple and get the basics in service done right. First impressions matter.
