Everything was right about this hotel from the moment we arrived.

Extremely friendly, classy staff, beautiful room with real wood floors and supremely comfortable bed, great spacious bathroom and excellent REN complimentaries.

Afternoon tea in the stylish dining room is reasonable and very high quality. Breakfast was 5 star (a really good, proper cooked veggie breakfast is a rare treat).

All in all, if you're a fan of urban boutique hotels with a personal touch this place won't disappoint. Highly recommended, especially given the excellent prices available on the net.

Just back from a lovely weekend stay at the Hope Street. Great location and the room (Studio) was fab. Great walkin shower, lovely products and great ambience. Felt the price for breakfast was expensive and the coffee was weak and disappointing.

The reception staff were excellent as were the staff in the restaurant after a mix up with our room service bill - handled very well and satisfactorily.

Would strongly recommend.

Booked this as a birthday treat for my boyfriend through mr and mrs smith and what can I say this hotel didn't disappoint in the slightest. Absolutely amazing stay from start to finish. Great location, nice and close to the city centre (about a 5-10 minute walk, even in heels haha) We stayed in a standard king room. Lovely spacious clean rooms with quite possibly one of the biggest and comfiest beds I have ever slept in. Nice modern bathroom with a walk in shower and separate bath. We arrived around 11am but our room was ready so we got to check in early which was a bonus. In the room there was a bar of chocolate and a little postcard wishing us a good stay and birthday celebrations which was such a nice personal touch.
I must say the staff are also credit to this place too,so helpful, polite and friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable(especially the lady who greeted us at reception) Yes it may be a tad pricey but worth every penny as you get what you pay for and more, will Definitely stay here again when we come back to Liverpool.

I would also add book through mrandmrssmith.com as you get a complimentary bottle of procesco on your visit which is a lovely little treat alongside everything else :)

A random choice that paid off, wanted to go somewhere we had never been and that was Liverpool!
Location was great, easy walk to anywhere. Thought parking may be a problem but hotel staff gave us a couple of options that were only minutes away.
The reception staff are amazing, nothing is a problem! they will sort it for you.
Rooms great! Resturant great, just book a place in the Resturant before you go, it is very popular.

This hotel is so well situated - it is within walkable reach of many places in Liverpool, including the University and the Docks, without being in a crowded, noisy environment. The building has been thoughtfully restored. I found the rooms quiet, partly because of the attention to details such as doors trimmed in leather so that they don't bang. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were pretty good, except one day there was no smoked salmon, but sufficient choice of other healthy dishes.
I would certainly come back here if I could afford it - it isn't cheap, but is a relaxing hotel where staff go out of their way to make your visit memorable.

Room Tip: Quiet rooms as very little through traffic on the roads

Im local, just down the Road in Ormskirk so i know Liverpool very well, i had to stay over in Liverpool to attend a conference so i chose the Hope Street Hotel, and a superb choice it was. excellent location, near enough to the center but just out of the hustle and bustle in a great part of the city, close to the Philharmonic hall and the two great Cathedrals, not forgetting the Philharmonic pub.
id definitely stay over again, the staff were all great and the breakfast set me up for the day.

We booked here because it was very close to the LIPA academy where we were seeing our friends son perform, and so glad we did. It is situated in a very classy part of the city and has a lovely restaurant on site and a great Italian over the road. Staff are very polite and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are wonderful, brilliant bathrooms, HUGE beds, good variety on the TV, very tasty tea and coffee and proper coat hangers in the wardrobe - silly thing I know but its means a lot to me !! We had quite a few cocktails during the evening and I was pleasantly surprised how reasonable they cost when we checked out.

Dear oloren1988,

Thank you for your lovely review, we are pleased you chose us for your visit to our neighbour LIPA, and even happier that you enjoyed your stay. We agree with you about the coat hangers too, little details like that are important to us too! We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon.

Best wishes,
Orla
